Strong, sturdy, very good build quality
This is a very good product. It is strong, sturdy and has a very good build quality overall. The bar is very strong and the arm is durable enough to hold your TV/PC monitor. The hinges can be tightened or loosened so you can swivel, pivot and rotate your monitor. Assembly was easy and straight forward and so was installing it with the PC monitor. I've had this for just over a year and I've had to adjust the height because over time the weight of the monitor made it drop down. Then I realised why there was an attachment at the back to hold the Allen key. So I raised it back up and screwed the bolts and joints tighter using the Allen key. This is something you need to bear in mind when assembling the arm desk mount. This brings me to my only real criticism, adjusting the height isn't particularly straight forward. You have to loosen the joint with an Allen key, adjust the height and then tighten the screws unlike the stand that came with my LG monitor where all you had to do was lift, push down or rotate with minimal force, no tools necessary. Apart from that I really like this product because it allows me to mount my monitor, giving me extra desk space and I love the look it gives to my desk set up. It has wire clips to conceal wiring, making cable management easier, perfect for those like me who like a clean and tidy set up. The arm desk mount is good value for money and I highly recommend it. Hope this was helpful.

Well designed, easy to assemble and sturdy so far
TL;DR; This is a decent stand with some negative reviews simply user error. While originally looking for a stand for 3 monitors (2 x 27 + 24), I decided to go for individual or double plus a single stand instead, and picked this for the smaller one of the group. It comes with well written instructions, everything needed for assembly and parts well protected, and small parts grouped in a strip of several bags making it easy to check all were present and open them as needed. There were no obvious scratches or chips to the metal coating, which looks decent and has a nice sheen to it. The inclusion of self adhesive pads to protect the top of the clamped surface is good, helping to protect as well as make it easy to slide the arm along as needed when setting up. The included cable management clips do their job well The clamp knob is large making tightening easy, but meant I couldn't attach to the desk I'm using at the moment due to the construction of drawers underneath giving insufficient clearance to turn the knob. Instead I attached to shelving behind and that works fine. With adequate wording and pictures, putting it together correctly shouldn't be an issue, and overall the product seems well designed with no obvious defects. A recent review showing holes not countersunk was simply from the user having the bracket back to front, and while it inevitably won't suit every conceivable setup, I'd definitely recommend it.

Great piece of kit once fitted
As screens have got bigger (and heavier) the engineering of these brackets has become more important. Anyone looking to buy this has probably experienced a saggy screen, especially when you try to reposition it. When finally assembled this bracket is perfect. Other brackets I've used rely on the tension you can achieve in a joint by tightening allen keys. Eventually they are just useless and you give up. This solves the issue in a few of ways. Firstly there is no "quick release" way to raise or lower the height of a screen. This is a good thing as that's a common cause of sag. Instead the horizontal is connected to the vertical by simply sliding it up and down the pole and retightening it with the key. So while not quick release it's not arduous either and there are 3 little holes in the vertical pole cable tidy to keep the allen keys handily to hand. This makes for a joint that can't possibly sag at that point. Plus height is not really something you want to change often once you've found the spot. Secondly the horizontal beam is made of two pieces and the connection in the middle won't sag either as it's relying on the tensile strength of the steel, not the amount you tighten that joint, to carry that weight. Finally the connector at the point it connects to the screen is well designed. It's the only joint that relies on "tightness" as it's allowing the screen to tilt but you don't need to apply massive force to hold it. This is probably also because the joint is so close to the screen it creates little additional leverage. The end result is that my 27" Dell monitor can now be moved effortlessly in all the ways the product advertises that it can. That was definitely not true for the last one. That ended up being just wedged into place with random objects and never touched. The reason I didn't give this product 5 stars (which it probably deserves) is the bracket and the fitting process. I used the clamp to fit it to the edge of a desk that has a downward lip panel underneath which needs to fit within the mouth of the clamp. The clamp is highly adjustable and can easily be adjusted to to do this. However - if you look at the pictures you'll see the plate at the top of the screw that is pressed to the underside of the desk. This is where it all goes a bit wrong. Firstly the plate is SCREWED into the tip of the screw you are turning to tighten the clamp. As you tighten the clamp this screw tightens too until it is locked and then the plate itself has to turn as you tighten. This will mean it's scraping on the underside of the desk as you reach full tightness. The tightening screw should be able to turn independently of the plate so that it is just pushing it into the underside of the desk without the plate itself turning. That in itself is not really a big deal but here's where it causes a bigger problem. Because the plate is turning and it is a rectangle not a circle it hits the downward lip panel of the desk and won't turn any more. I.e. it won't tighten into place at all. I found a fiddly solution to this (without using other parts) but it was fiddly and too complicated to try and describe here (even worse than what I've written above). If you're clamping to a desk that is basically a piece of wood with nothing in the way you'll be fine. A further thing is that the two chunky brackets that make up this clamp aren't very aesthetically pleasing. They look mismatched in size as if they don't belong together at all. To conclude, yes I would recommend this bracket. It's great and works brilliantly with no sag on a heavy screen. Just beware that attaching the clamp to the desk might take a bit more time and thought than you anticipated to get it into place. NB If this seems confusing it will make a lot more sense to you if you're sat with all the pieces in front of you.

Best monitor arm of its type
Simple and very good monitor arm. Great price. Better for me compared to spring monitor arms that move around freely. This monitor arm can move the screen forward, backwards, side-to-side and tils. If you loosen the bolt, you can move it up and down too, then tighten it again. Perfect for if you don't move your monitors very much. In terms of other features: - Very high quality. - Very fast and easy assembly. - Bolts are deep, so the Allen key and bolt isn't damaged when turning it like all the other monitor arms. - Strong at every joint, included the dreaded tilt mechanism that other monitor arms fail at. GF and I each have one and they're both great.

I should have gone for a desk mount sooner! Great product
I recently bought a sit stand desk and realised my monitor was too low when standing. I liked the idea of a desk mount, especially since it allows you to push the monitor into different places, and raise it a lot higher than the monitor's stand might. So I went with BONTEC Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount. It's great! It's really easy to install and sturdy. It looks good and the cable ties are helpful. It comes with all the tools you need, and even a slot to keep them for quick adjustment. Very helpful when your toolbox is far away. One thing to consider is where the holes for the mount are placed on your monitor, as this could limit the maximum height you could achieve. Mine were at the bottom of the monitor so the max. height is perfect for me, however if I had a monitor where the holes were in the middle or top, I would have needed a much higher mount pole (please see second image).

Genuinely impressive
On occasion, when you pay £30 for something that is elsewhere selling for more, you prepare yourself to be slightly disappointed. I bought this product to evaluate whether or not a desk-mounted monitor arm was a good fit for me. However, I have ended up being genuinely impressed with the product. It displays none of the usual short-cuts or minor issues that discount products usually have. It is extremely sturdy. The parts fit together with good tolerance. All of the required tools are provided (and there are even nice extra touches, such as a little organiser to keep the Allen keys together). The instructions are extremely clear. The VESA mount and provided screws are good quality. It even has cable guides to keep things tidy. The arm has a good range of motion, and it mounts extremely securely to a desk - I used the clamp, though there is a more permanent installation option. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

A well designed, good quality product.
A really well produced product. Cleverly designed to provide for a multitude of monitor mounting options. Having two desk clamping options provides extra versatility. The product is very strong and my monitor is held very robustly in place. The arm allows for a vast amount of movement. I'm really pleased with this product and would strongly recommend it.

Good quality for the price.
I got this to create more working space on my wife's home working desk as the monitor provided has a large base. It's easy to assemble and well-built, though you have to use the supplied Allen key to adjust and tighten things up when you've got it set up to how you want it. If you're looking for a monitor arm that you'll move. Around frequently then I'd pass on this, but for a fixed monitor arm it's a good quality bargain and looks great too. The cable channels mean that wiring is invisible along the arm.
