Size is slightly smaller
The pen is beautiful and writes very smoothly. It comes in a very strong, spring lid box. It doesn’t come with any additional ink refills so you might need to buy some. It is for a smaller hand; a ladies pen maybe. Keep it safe in the box and enjoy this fab’ pen. :)

Beautiful pen
This pen is really elegant and beautiful. I bought it as a gift for my wife to use in work following a promotion. It is smaller than your average pen, which I knew from other reviews before purchasing, but I went for it anyway because she has small hands. She informs me that the smaller size has meant that she has had to adapt her grip to use it. Nevertheless, she loves it and says that it is a pleasure to write with. The quality appears to be very good; it is sturdy, has a good weight to it and the finish is excellent. The pen comes with blue ink only, so I bought a black refill made by same company in case she would prefer black. I would recommend this pen to anyone who is after a quality writing implement, just bear in mind the size if you have large hands.

Stylish, comfortable to use, and smoooooooth
I ordered this pen to replace a Cross fountain pen which was annoying me (it was scratchy, and if I didn't use it for a couple of days the ink dried up in the feed and it had to be washed to get it flowing again). I had only tried one Waterman pen before, and not liked it much as it was a very wide barrel and made my hand tired, but having seen a couple of clips on YouTube and read some reviews on pen sites, I thought I'd give this one a go.I'm so glad I did! It writes really smoothly, which is a bonus as being left-handed I find that pushing pens across the page often means they scratch or snag on the paper. I chose a fine nib as my writing is quite small and I hate the "filling in" of the letters, and this also can mean a pen is scratchier. Full marks for smoothness, then.I have also just had a quick scribble after not using the pen for almost a week. The ink still flows. Marvellous! So, it works. Beautifully. And it looks beautiful too. The barrel is slim enough to hold comfortably, especially for a woman, and it is well balanced in the hand. The matt black with gold trim is very smart and doesn't show finger marks like the shiny ones do.All in all, a superb pen, and fast delivery too. All the way from France in a week. Can't complain at that!

Let down in one small way.
This pen is very nice. It is smooth, comfortable, reliable. It looks nice. It is just the right thickness for me as I like thin pens. The fine nib is I'd say a F/EF, closer to a Japanese fine nib than a European fine, and writes very smoothly. It is what people refer to as a 'wet writer' but not so much so as to dump ink at every stroke, still it's a bit too wet for photocopy paper and will bleed and feather with most inks. The barrel and cap are nicely painted metal in a neat matte black, but the section is molded plastic - complete with mold lines. It is slick looks tacky and feels cheap. In ever other regard this pen tops comparable Parker, Lamy, and Fabre-castel pens I own, but the section just lets it down. It is disappointing, however the pen still performs well for short term writing and is enjoyable to use.For long letters, or essay writing the slick section may cause slipping.

Rollerball
This is a fabulous rollerball, well balanced and nice to write with, however I found the supplied fine tip refill very scratchy and quickly replaced it with a medium.

Great trio of Hemisphere pens from Waterman but this bought separately.
No downsides to this ballpoint from Waterman. Stunning looks(did I write that?... must be ‘lockdown!’) slim body and matte black finish, means the pen is easy to grip and comfortable to use for long periods writing. The pens’ fine point is just right for me, tho’ standard ink colour is blue, ordered black, fine refills separately... no problem... was bought as mate to the Hemisphere fountain pen & Hemisphere rollerball received as Christmas presents. This ballpoint is great. Cannot fault it. Its sheerness of finish, its gold trim ( not at all ‘flash’) and its smoothness of non smudge line is good for both cursive or italic hands.Highly recommended for personal daily use or as a gift as the Hemisphere range arrive in their own presentation box... so great as a gift....Go for it! buy it. Use a Waterman Hemisphere wherever you live!Excellent, if there were six stars I’d award them. Excellent delivery time & reasonable price to boot.Treat yourself!

Thank you present
I bought two of these pens. They were thank you presents for two doctors who went over and above in the care of my late husband.I hope they use them and get that people do appreciate them.I thought they were a great well made pen. Stylish and modest.

Well balanced, well made, writes very smoothly. A quality pen
After many years of using Parker ballpoint pens, followed by a brief flirtation with Sheaffer, I discovered Waterman Hemisphere pens. They're fairly slim but still offer a good, well balanced weight, and the ballpoint refills are simply the best I've ever used, being ultra smooth and very long lasting. I've always kept two of them on the go, one with a black refill for official documents, etc, and one with a blue refill just because it's my preferred writing colour.Sadly, one of my Hemispheres vanished - probably lost - a few months ago and was well overdue for replacement when this one popped up on a ridiculously well-priced Black Friday deal. The silver and gold wouldn't have been my first choice of colour (and if I'd waited a few days I could have had the all silver model for the same price) but in the hand it looks and feels just as good as my much older lacquered coloured one. This model is one of the cheapest in the range and as such is excellent value. If you need a good pen and don't have a burning need to spend more than necessary on a particular colour choice, you really couldn't do better than to buy this.
