Used this to try to fix squeaking stairs, without taking up carpet. Being able to apply like silicone and similar with my 'gun' meant that I could access areas I otherwise would have struggled to. We now have quiet stairs for the first time in 17 years! The one thing I would say is that it takes a lot longer than 5 minutes to set. It may form a skin in that time, but my stairs didn't stop creaking for several hours.

Unlike most variations of PU glue this one is very thick, so you don't get dribbles and it all running out of the joint before it starts to foam and fill the joint. It's ideal for situations where you can't position the joint to avoid a thinner the glue running out of the joint. This stuff stays in place like a gel until it foams and sets. And it sets extremely hard. It's set in about twenty mins and is like a solid plastic after twenty four hours. It's much stronger than any wood. I have used this stuff to repair damaged joists in situations where there is no room to drill holes and fit bolts. It's unbelievably strong and completely water resistant. Beware though it is nasty stuff and it's like applying treacle so don't use it if you want precision! It foams up to about twice it's size so it fills any gap. You can trim it with a knife about an hour after application, but don't let it completely set or it is just too hard to even cut with a knife.

Works great, particularly effective wood glue. Dries tough and is waterproof, unlike PVA based glues. I used it as part of a staircase repair - it expands so just be mindful of this. Also, not a great gap filler in structural things as it dries quite spongey. A solid glue though, and I like them in the silicone tube style.

Really love this product - it really does the job and develops and incredibly strong bond very quickly. Only gripe is even when gun pressure is released, it continues to ooze and glue builds up on nozzle and eventually doesn’t form a good enough seal and nozzle gets clogged.

After reading the reviews decided to buy some and see if it really would stop our staircase from squeaking. I had tried screw before but to no avail.Applied the glue to gaps where the treads and risers meet (this varied from next to no gap to around 6mm) and also ran a bead along any joint i could gain access to. I must stress at this time I cannot access any of the staircase from below so everything was done whilst the carpets and underlay was removed.It required longer than 5 minutes to cure and did not expand too much. After about 90 minutes the glue had worked sufficiently to stop any squeaking whatsoever - previously they were extremely noisy.I treated all the stairs and had about a third of the tube remaining so have given it to a friend to do their stairs. Meanwhile our staircase is now 100% silent which is amazing as it has squeaked since it was installed 8 years ago.Brilliant product and not messy to apply but definitely wear the gloves provided as normal soap and water will not remove any residue on the skin.

I really like this product and have used it a few times before, In future I will purchase locally given that the delivery driver threw the package onto my lawn. It was raining heavily and the package was soaked through.

I used this glue as part two on the stairs. The stairs we creaking worse than my knees, so no way could you sneak up them at night. They felt loose under foot too.I used this glue in conjunction with a lot of screws. I could only use the screws on the bottom of the riser into the tread as the riser is made from a thin ply....!!The screws made quite a difference and made them feel quite sturdy but I only had access to 10 of the 14 stairs from the under side so I had no way to screw the top ones down, there was still some general creaking and the top ones were dreadful. But a marked improvement.Part two...So I peeled back the carpet at the top and used this all the way round the front edge. I did the front rectangle and the sides, working my way down so not to disturb the stairs that i just did. For good measure and given there was still loads in the tube I went under the sitars again and ran it along every visible edge and squeezed it into any gaps.30 minutes later... now im like a ninja! You cant hear a thing from any step, even the ones with no screws and only glued from the front edge!Now I can sip scotch, watch the TV and sneak up to bed and the wife hasn't a clue, apart from the landing floor boards... So I would be purchasing another tube! Its been two weeks and its still solid as a rock despite having a house full of kids and heavy footed old folk traipsing up and down them.
