The width of the flagpole is 2" or 52mm. Hope this is of some help.

According to the flying flags guide the max. Height may not exceed 4.6 metres above ground level

Q: how do you fix rope to cleats

They are plastic cleats and quite strong, I keep meaning to change to an easier clip, but never get round to it. The rope is put through and you knot it however you want. For the money (£30 ish) it is great value, and if you are into flag flying, perfect job. Best of luck.
