Sockology: 16 New Sock Creatures, Cute & Cuddly...Weird & Wild

This is a nice book to read that is just fun. The item seem easy to make and if they look different that will be great. I am always getting sick from charities that would work well.

I love making stuffies. This book has some cute and easy projects.

Not only does this book have super cute patterns - I can't really add to all the other things that have been said already - but it is just plain old FUN to read. I was laughing out loud and my husband was looking at me funny because he could see what I was reading, and couldn't quite get what was funny about a sewing book. With tons of kids to sew for this really makes the process faster. Though I have to admit I kept a few for myself. And unlike some people I have NO problem cutting into socks, I prefer to go barefoot so that works for me. Personally, I think Brenna should quit her day job and just keep on writing sock books

Book was in great condition and just what I wanted.

This wasn’t exactly what I would buy if I had thumbed thru it. That said it’s a great addition to my sock library with a plethora of ideas to carry over to other softies

They say you can't judge a book by it's cover and in this case it is certainly true. The picture of the ducks on the cover makes the ducks look about 8" long. In reality, the itty bitty ducks are only 4" long. This is the only pattern I have tried, and my duck is really pretty cute, but I donate these to the Shriner's for children and this little guy just isn't big enough. I will try to enlarge it to suit me then maybe try another pattern. Not really for the beginner.

Lots of fun sock people and animals to make in your spare time. Pretty darn cute. Great instruction for the novice to the professional sewer.

Sockology is a perfect guide to unleash your creativity with "lost" socks. This book gives the reader lots of "food for thought". It has clear photos and easy to understand step by step directions. I was able to complete a "Monster" in just a couple of hours. Mine is adorable!

Ho acquistato questo libro perchè mi incuriosiva molto questa nuova "tecnica", ovvero la capacità di ricavare da un calzino un qualcosa di decisamente diverso: Speravo di poter riutilizzare i vecchi calzini ma mi sono subito resa conto che spesso questo non può essere possibile a causa dell'usura stessa del calzino nei punti critici che rovinano e non di poco il risultato finale. Quindi niente riciclo (peccato!). In compenso le idee sono diverse, per tutti i gusti; io adoro gli alieni ma poi ogniuno troverà il suo progetto preferito! Trovo sia un libro ben strutturato perchè ogni progetto inizia con una foto del risultato alla quale seguono foto che spiegano come tagliare il calzino (lo so, sembra stupido, ma se non me lo avessero fatto vedere non avrei saputo come fare!!), come cucirlo e successivamente come assemblarlo, il tutto in maniera chiara e semplice, sopratutto se si considera che il testo è in inglese e che io non l'ho mai studiato. Bellissimo libro. Consigliato.

I bought this to make toys for my niece. I can't find wooden spools which are needed for some items but with a little imagination I easily found substitutes. Some projects were easy, some complicated, so it will appeal to all skill levels.
