Works well in my basement
The unit was simple to set up and is working well. As noted in other reviews, the fan runs continuously but is not very loud. I rather like the sound of the water occasionally trickling into the bucket.Emptying the bucket is easy. The unit automatically pauses and restarts when you remove and reinstall the bucket. The bucket is full, so be a little careful so you don't slosh when removing.Overall I'm quite pleased.I purchased this hygrometer and started measuring the humidity in my basement workshop.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013BKDO8Emptying the bucket once a day, the measured humidity has dropped from about 68% to about 54%. On the weekends the bucket fills up at least twice a a a day, which impressed me. I will be attaching the hose for continuous drainage and seeing how much further I can reduce the humidity.

Great for bathrooms
I purchased this specifically for my daughter's bathroom. The hot showers were causing lots of cleaning issues, as well as mold. Although it's a bit bulky, it sucks the bathroom DRY after their showers. It has digital features, including a timer, that they set to run for 2 hours after a shower. It also has an air cleaner built in.Since we started using it, our cleaning needs have dramatically declined and have had NO mold. Just have to be careful to shut the toilet lid when running so it doesn't suck water out of the toilet...Not that it's a big deal, but you want it to get the other water out first (shower & etc).Works so well, I got one for the parents bathroom as well.Tip...Don't try the mini or small dehumidifiers. Some claim they work, but I tried several different versions and the most they pulled from the air were a few tablespoons over a couple days. You need something that pulls decent air when trying to dry out a bathroom or any wet room for that matter. My advice is to find the biggest dehumidifier you can find that still works with your particular bathroom.

Small but Mighty!
I was a little concerned that something so small would work so well, but it does! This little thing pulled out over 2 gallons of water within the first 24 hours! Love the ION feature also to help with air quality. It's quiet, and works well alerting you when the tray needs emptying. Nice design also... the only feature I wish it has was a dimmer for the digital display.... it's large & bright! Overall, it's a wonderful product & does just as well (or better!) as larger ones with the same tank capacity!

Excellent output. Raises Temp in small Rooms. Uses 200w. Add yourself a mini submersible pump on a timer to drain tank!
This Dehumidifier runs lie a champ! It is quiet and capable. We use it in our small bathroom where we shower and in the summer it keeps the towels dry after use and they don't turn musty. The mirror doesn't even fog. We do use a fan but it's not enough to dry the towels in the summer. I'm using a humidity / temp monitor in the same room to check how accurate it is.The bad news is that it's not super accurate but it is predictable. When I have the unit set to 50% humidity, it gets the bathroom to about 40% humidity. At the lowest setting of 40% it actually hovers above 30%. This is good news if people wish to lower their humidity past 40%. You can compensate by about 10% and you'll be fine. The room should be small enough for it to keep up, mind you. Our bathroom is about 10x6 feet including the open tub / shower. The trade is that you must empty the 2L more ofter than 1x a day if the humidity is high. I solved this problem inexpensively by using a $12 aquarium submersible pump, running off a $9 Woods brand programmable outlet switch. The kind your grandma used to turn her den lights on every night for a few hours. The pump is small enough to fit inside the reservoir in the dehumidifier. It drains into the toilet tank. I have it run for 1 min every 12 hours and it empties the reservoir and shuts off shortly after. I wrapped a bit of electrical tape around the PVC hose included with the dehumidifier and it made a snug fit with the outlet on the pump. The power cord for the pump and the hose make a tight fit at the opening designed for the hose, but I was able to make it all fit nicely and close properly. NO MORE DRAINING THE DEHUMIDIFIER! Make sure you get one powerful enough to move 700L water per hour or 210G per hour so it's strong enough to move a column of water vertically a few feet to the toilet tank. Also it must be small enough to fit inside the reservoir. They sell it here. This is a great unit. It is very small, and the ionizer seems to be useful, but not overpowering at all. It does raise the temperature of a small room a few degrees as it does use a good 200w while the compressor is on. It claims 360w but that's briefly upon startup. If your home utilizes central air conditioning, the heat will be balanced out by that. We're buying another one for our bedroom, the bigger sister version of this. I'm sure I won't be disappointed with that either. They are easily quiet enough to sleep with, although my wife prefers a bit of noise while sleeping so my view opinion of how quiet it is may be relative. In a bathroom the noise is NOT bothersome and far more quiet than most people's bathroom vent fans.

Great Product! *EDITED*
I use ours in our RV's bedroom, and it works exactly as it should - accurately displaying the room's humidity level while keeping the air exactly as I like it. As evidence that it's working properly, I typically dump the water out twice a day.Edit: My unit stopped working in December 2019, after less than one year of use. I had purchased two additional units for my children's households because they worked so well, but my son's quit working after less than 6 months. They refunded me the cost of my son's but have not refunded my initial purchase. Only one of the three I bought is still working at all. Fingers crossed that they refund me the amount of the first purchase as I told them I'm willing to return the defective device for their personal inspection. They honored their purchase promise and eventually refunded me for the defective units. I'm very pleased! Thank you, Eurgreen. 👍

It worked great for about a week. I could feel difference in our bedroom and it stopped working less then a week after that.
