Not bad at all!
I bought this leg stretcher think that it might be yet another waste of money but thankfully, this time I was wrong. even though I have only had it about six weeks I have dropped a few inches closer to the ground. I don't have time to use it every day but on the day's I do I stretch for about 30 min - 1 hour. You can even pop a small tablet or iPad on the wheel while you stretch for entertainment.I have tried other cheap leg stretches and they just don't compare. For a start, your legs are pushed apart using about 3/4 of the surface are of your leg, not just in one place and this spreads the load and doesn't put undue strain on your knee joint. Also, it uses a wheel to open your legs and that fat that they just stay there is great. With conventional leg stretches it takes a lot of effort to pull on them and keep a wide stretch going for any length of time.I'm under no illusion that at my age (47) doing the splits completely may be very difficult or impossible but this machine is certainly helping without a shadow of a doubt and the results are noticeable. The construction comes across as very solid but I have put some grease on the thread under the seat as there was a bit of metal flaking going off there but that's fine now.One final word of advice if you are thinking of buying one, full stretch is painful so don't think this is going to be an easy ride to doing the splits!

Useful but if kit
Great for spreading your legs wide and stretching inside of legs / groin. Found it reduced pressure on my knees which can hurt when doing side splits to stretch.Takes up a lot of room so you need a big house as it’ll just be in the way otherwise.Feels well built. Owned for 1 yr now with no issues. Gets used by 3 people twice a week for about 10 mins.

A big, heavy-duty, leg stretcher that does the job
I bought one of these in 2011 and am still using it. It's certainly a big, heavy-duty, leg stretcher that does the job. It has certainly helped me - when I've remembered to use it on a regular basis.I'd like to make a couple of points about it though:(1) Its designed for tall people. If you're shorter than about 1.75m (5 foot 9), then your knees won't be braced against the leg pads. This'll put undue pressure on your knees which, at least, won't be comfortable.(2) The turning mechanism can slip. If you don't watch it, the turning handle can "ride up" as you turn it, to the point that it slips. re-seating the turning handle every now and then (during stretching) can avoid this.(3) The turning wheel is made from a brittle hard plastic, which can shatter (mine did!) if you put too much pressure on one side. Turn with both hands only. I'm currently investigating the possibility of ordering a replacement turning wheel.

Great for improving leg stretches.
Was easy to assemble, nd easier to use on laminate or low pile carpet. Ive added sticky pads to feet to stop scratches on laminate. I was looking at 3 stretchers and I'm glad we paid a little more to get the bigger unit. This item would suit young adult upward and the knee support are adjustable to leg size. My 9, 12 and 15 Yr old use for stretches to improve TKD kicks. Wife uses for yoga. Items quite bulky, to consider storage.

fault on machine
Ordered this item as a birthday gift when it arrived it did not function as it was suppose to. Still trying to get a replacement one sent its now three weeks on and still no joy despite several emails being sent.

Doesnt work correctly.
I only gave this product 2 stars because it doesn't work correctly, the left side opens at a quicker rate to the right-side. So this means that the stretch is very little on the right-side because of the left moving too much. The product still works, but unfortunately not like its meant to. If both sides moved at the same time this would be an excellent product and would be worth the price tag. I don't feel i personally got value for my money and i am quite disappointed that the product doesn't work correctly. It did however get delivered extremely quickly.

Rickety but functional
The title pretty much says it all. The device comes with the main mechanism complete and the user has only to bolt on the pads of which the medial ones are fiddly and is a two person task. It's the racheting mechanism that's less than perfect and the left 'leg' of mine isn't at the same starting angle as the right one not a real problem but an indicator of the quality ( or lack of) of the device. Also, there's quite a bit of slack in the mechanism so the wheel has to be turned two or three times before the legs move which again suggest low quality engineering. Time will tell if it continues to function for a reasonable duration. Surprisingly, there are no instructions on how to use and optimise its effectiveness and the safety advice and all assembly instrcutions are in pigeon English. In conclusion, this is product could never be described as a quality device, its rickety, its clunky and operates in a less than precision manner, but it does what it's supposed to. I just hope it continues to function for many years so I can achieve the flexibility I wish to attain-we'll see.....

High quality leg stretcher
Haven't got anything bad to say about this. Constructed very well, nice thick bolts that you can really tighten up. I saw a youtube video of this thing being used by a dancer who'd learnt to do splits in a short while. After doing martial arts for over 2 decades, have never been able to do box splits, but intend to with this machine. I've seen a few who've used this to good effect, and sure there are cheaper options, but I doubt they'll be as effective, as this opens on wheels and has a nice wheel to control accurately the stretch by tightening or slackening at will. I intend to use this thing in front of the TV.
