Fabulous- as only Oscar Wilde can be. A collection of his wry witticisms (often proclaiming his own evident genius!) in one neat little black book! This is fantastic, wonderful to dip into or read in one sitting - one thing's for sure, you will revert back to this frequently! Delighted to find these precious Penguin Little Black Classics in kindle format too - I have several in paperback format, but 'Only Dull People Are Brilliant at Breakfast' deserves an open page on my kindle on a permanent basis. This will make you smile :) Highly recommended.

Each and everyone of these books I purchased for my grandaughter are brilliant and full of informative quotes.

Wee book fine, but bought for another and £1 price printed on rear yet I paid more than this. Other than that would have gave 5 stars, still wasn't expensive but its the principle.

This was a small fun gift for my wife and she really enjoyed it.

I loved this funny book read and have passed it on to a friend who I know will appreciate it. I have read a lot of Oscar Wilds Prose and Poetry and like his humor/wit. Its a small book and easy to take around should one wish and is the type of book one would browse through again and again. This order arrived promptly and I'm happy with my purchase. Overall amazing value for only £1..00.

These are little books of excerpts, I think I was just expecting 'more' somehow. Not the sellers fault, they are exactly as described but I wouldn't have bought these if I had picked them up in a book shop.

It really gives the understanding of the author and his world. For whoever enjoy philosophy or a fan of Oscar Wilde I suggest this book.

Gone through a couple of pages and seems a decent read so far. And I would like to judge a book by it's cover if the design is so elegant.

Amazing little book!! I bought this one not knowing it was more of a quote book but that's more on me then amazon. I love Oscar Wildes writing in The Picture of Dorian Gray. HIghly recommend if you love some witty humor

I love Penguin, I always know I can expect quality with their products. The book came in great condition. It is small, and I know it is part of the "Little Black Classics" but even that distinction may not prepare you for how small it is. However, for me, this was not an issue. The text is easy to see and read, and this is not a novel, this is more a collection of aphorisms, and in my opinion, a very nice collections of aphorisms. Some are funny and witty, clever and reek of sarcasm, and some are potentially more jarring to the reader, prompting more self-discovery and philosophical thinking. Wilde was a controversial figure in his own time, and I believe a reader will see that upon reading this book. If I may make a recommendation - If you like this, whether because you like Wilde's style of writing, his ability to be witty and deep, sarcastic and genuine simultaneously, perhaps you like challenging views about spirituality, the morality of man, or the gritty reality of life, or maybe you are looking for another collections of aphorisms to grace your coffee table as a conversation piece or quick read - then I would recommend "Aphorisms" by Franz Kafka. There are many different publishers that have collected his aphorisms, but when it comes to Kafka, I always recommend Schocken as a publisher. It isn't his best work, but if you can find an affordable copy, I believe it is worth a read.
