Silverline Cast Iron Manhole Keys 2pk 125mm (868537), Blue

The keys fitted comfortably into the manhole cover I wanted to remove - after I had cleared the soil clogging up the key holes. They appear well made, so should give years of service.

For the price these are unbeatable. They fit perfectly and do the job even with a heavy block paving cover. I was able to use these along with some wood to lever the cover free and then drag it open. Money well spent!

Purchased this item to lift manhole cover on drain. Avoids having to prise cover off with screwdriver/prise bar which is difficult and could result in damaged tools/cover. The only reason I gave ‘4 ****’ is that the handles are too short and a longer length handle would provide better ergonomics when lifting the cover. Still OK for me to use but people with any musculoskeletal issues may find using this product difficult

These are very sturdy keys, fitting into the manhole well and making removing the cover a really simple job.

Great for lifting drain cover, worked perfectly.

Arrived very quickly. Managed to remove man hole cover, but end lugs where slightly to small so not perfect but usable by using carefully and at an angle.

Very robust, well made and lifts my SES water meter cover.

The product is sturdy - but simply did not fit the holes in my covers. The keys essentially have shapes which are half moon in depth profile and rectangular in plan. First problem was the half moon was too deep to allow the key to fit.Luckily I have a bench grinder and I took some of the depth off... then I found the hole was a bit shorter and had more rounded corners. More grinding... key now fits and when the key is rotated 90 deg gives a secure grip for lifting.
