Close to perfect, but with a few niggles...
Can't say I've ever been a big fan of RGB lights - most of the time I'd rather just have brighter white light instead! But when I required crazy colours for a video project, rather than taking a chance on random brands with names like 'WYMXIL' and 'AOFAB' I was happy to see Godox now make video lights. Just like their flashes it's a little more spendy than the generic brands but cheaper than the premium. I'm heavily invested in their flash system and figured it's worth paying for quality (especially when your boss is paying the bill!).And honestly, I'm very happy except for one big annoyance...which is the battery indicator. Maybe I've been spoiled by modern gear, but seeing a basic 3-segment battery indicator felt like going back to 2003. With the decent amount of battery this thing has on board, I really would have liked to see an actual percentage of battery rather than a hard-to-judge icon (which is basically "FULL/NOT FULL/ABOUT TO DIE"). I hoped hooking up the app would give you an exact percentage but sadly not. Really this review is more like 4.5 stars, but if this can be fixed with a firmware update I'll be immensely happy.Fortunately the battery life is really decent. It's quoted as something to like 2hrs at full power but I've used it for many hours at lower power settings, and it's really easy to top up. The wireless changing is a very cool feature; it works great with my cheap Lidl wireless power bank. However induction charging is inherently way less efficient than cabled, so if I'm on location running from a power bank I'm more likely to use the wire to get the most bang for the buck. In these days of crazy energy prices I'll probably be sticking to the more efficient method at home, but at work I'm happy to use a bit more of my employer's juice in exchange for the convenience of plonking it on a wireless charger on my desk! One thing I would've liked to see is reverse charging, ie using it as a power bank. With 3000mah onboard that'd be rather handy in a pinch...perhaps it actually does, but the manual doesn't mention anything.I don't really need to say much about the light quality itself...this is why I paid a little more for a Godox! My biggest worry about RGB lights - that the basic white is going to be way less powerful due to the coloured LEDs taking up space - was unfounded. The bicolour white mode plenty bright enough to be used as a key light in run-and-gun filming, interviews etc.The RGB mode is great, with a really intuitive interface using one spinny dial to change colour and one clicky-pushy dial to adjust power. The FX mode I thought looked a bit gimmicky but having had fun cycling through them a bunch of times, igm think they're actually really useful for filmmaking. The police flashing lights in particular are fun for pranking people, and look 100% convincing. The fire and candle settings are maybe a bit less warm than I'd prefer, but overall they're actually super useful presets. The little screen (I want to say OLED?) is well thought-out since it's bright and legible in the dark without having any backlight glare to mess up your night vision. As someone who works a lot in pitch black underground tunnels etc I'm pleased to see the designers took this into account. That reminds me - if you're an urbexer or working in tricky environments you might be disappointed by the lack of an IP rating. Would've liked to see waterproofing!Still, the thing itself is TINY and weighs nothing. It's gone from something bought for occasional video projects to 'ok, you live in my camera bag now', since it fits pretty much anywhere and has all sorts of uses for stills. Despite the small size it's got a nice wide throw, especially with the silicone diffuser. The padded case it comes with is surprisingly high quality, but adds a fair bit of bulk so my everyday carry will just be the skinny lil' panel itself.Overall it ticks off pretty much everything I wanted from a compact video/photo light, with the exception of showing the battery percentage and maybe weather sealing. Even Godox haven't succeeded in making the perfect light yet, but it's a damned cool little package.

Perfect little RGB light with loads of controls
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a small RGB light mainly for my macro work. I wanted a light that can give me reliable colour performance but the same time can set it by Kelvins too and it's powerful enough for my needs. This light ticked all boxes and as I am a long time Godox users (love their flashguns and studio lights) I bought this light with confidence. When it arrived I was surprised that Godox also added a little carrying case, which does not feels like a gimmick but an actual, useful carrying case of good quality. The light itself feels rock solid and the controls are really easy to use. The biggest bonus feature for me is the ability to remote control the light via my mobile phone. The 12+2 special effects are great and it's much more than what's advertised. As each 12 special effects mode has 3 different setting you technically getting 36 special effects. The +2 effects are an S.O.S. mode where it will morse code the S.O.S. signal and my absolute favourite the Discolight mode, when the LED will blink as a reaction to the noises in it's surrounding, including music. Since I got this LED light we have a party at home every night! :DAs usual GODOX delivers top quality for your money, and I am so happy with this light I might buy a second one just to have even more fun with the disco effect :)

Phenomenal little light
The media could not be loaded. Godox is a respected name in photo/video lighting equipment and this product further demonstrates why.Built like a tank, small light that gives off big light.Quality is great, metal body with a silicon diffuser that acts almost like a protective bumper too.Kicks out an extaordinary amount of light, with accurate colours and temps, for such a compact light. I've got lights 6 times the size that don't kick out as much. The app opens this light up even more, allowing easier access to the colours, and lighting effect modes.Broken light bulb effect shown in video, this lights so compact you can create great effects in film making on a budget.Battery so far seems to hold a good charge and light stays consistentDownside is that without the app it's a little bit more fiddly to control, it does have a nice easily readable screen but you have to go through various menus to get what you want out of it, whereas with the app it's a breeze.Definite constant in the kit bag now.Very impressive, versatile, great quality light.

Pocket RGB light con funzioni da PRO
The media could not be loaded.

The media could not be loaded.
