We had a more expensive one and it had problems from the very start. The tube from the motor to the pillows got kinked or something on this one and all I did was make sure they were straight.. My son is only 130 pounds but it gets used by a friend who is much larger than that when John is in his chair and they are watching TV together. Yet we have no problems The expensive one was toast in six months.

After contacting amazon, they sent me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer answered that amazon is the one to take careof their sales, so I contacted amazon again and they made a refund. Thankfully. The matress is awsome bad thing I can't fill it up :( Good thing I got my money back.

When I first hooked this up, I wasn’t sure it was working. It doesn’t inflate quickly like an air mattress you use for camping. This is more gradual and slowly I could see alternating tubes growing in size. It took about 15 minutes to fully inflate and start working as intended with about six minutes between alternating tubes inflating/deflating. There was a bit of a smell at first, but it quickly dissipated. The mattress can be taken apart and is super easy to clean being a sort of nylon material. Maximum weight it can hold is 135 kg. or about 297 lbs.. It also helps if it’s on a rigid surface. You won’t get much from it placing it on a soft foam mattress. The pump isn’t too loud. The low whirring sound reminds me of my humidifier and every once in awhile it lets off a soft puff of air as it alternates. The pump surprisingly doesn’t draw very much power—only 15 watts so it doesn’t have to be on a separate circuit. The biggest issue I had is trying to deflate it and pack it away. I wish the pump removed the air as well as pumped the air in.

Usually, helpful things with medical uses end up being somewhat cost prohibitive for normal people, so I was pleased to see this wasn't ridiculously expensive.And it IS effective. The pump isn't loud, so it's not a distraction. The setup is simple, but the function is really effective. I got this for someone who will be having some surgery soon and recuperating here with me, in the hopes it would prove beneficial.You need to use it on a stiff surface for the best results. If this is simply laid on a plush bed it won't be nearly as effective.Easy to keep clean as well.

Every so often I have my older parent here living with us. Because they are bed bound, I wanted to have a nice air mattress so that there's no pressure on their back side.comes with a pump and was easy to pump up. Nice gentle wave action.I have only pumped it up to try it out so it's ready for when I need it in another month.So nice to have something like this to make anyone who needs to be bed bound for a short or long time a lot more comfortable.

This mattress pad is a life safer. It provides enough pressure to avoid long term bed sores and even has alternating pressure to provide relief for long term bed rest patients. The pads comes with a low noise pump that is discreet and barely noticeable which is great for the patient as it does not bother them while operating. The topper was a good fit for the hospital bed. Only concern is it took over a month to deliver with Prime so make sure you check the delivery date in case you need it right away.What I like:1. Alternating pressure to relieve discomfort2. I got this for a family member who is currently in a skilled nursing facility. All I can say is this has been great for them. Since it’s been on their bed they’ve had 0 bed sores. They absolutely love it and said it’s very comfortable! Very easy to put on the bed. I’m super impressed with this product. If you have a loved one that’s in a similar situation you should totally get this. Highly recommend!! A+

This air mattress definitely helps with bed sores and keeping persons with limited mobility moving to prevent bed sores or bed sores getting worse. Easy to slide person one side to the other.
