My Phillips Nose Hair Trimmer died on me, and I am so glad, because i've owned several nose hair trimmers and this is the first one that works perfectly! Works really fast, cuts nose and ear hair so cleanly it's as if I shaved it, and is quite small - about the size of a marking pen - which makes it easy to pack with my toilet items when traveling. Five stars all the way.

I like it more than any I have tried over the years and I have tried about every style and many brands. This has new type blade design that cuts better than any I have had or have. There was an issue in other reviews about it being too loud. Its pretty loud but only when you have it in your ear. The company should try to address that, but if your doing your nose or around your ear its not loud. Just when you have it in your ear. But its not like chain saw or something. It cuts so good that I have no problem with the noise in my ear. Some sensitive people and some women might find it too loud to use. Try it and find out . It shaves close and does not nick. Take the cap off so you know where the cutter is and are not confused. When you are going to put the battery in, pay attention how the end cap lines up screws on so you can easily put it back on correctly after you put the battery in. They should have marked the bottom with white lines to make it easier to screw it on right. Put the battery in right and all set. I only order the actual shaver, not all those attachments. Much cheaper that way. $21 I think it was. I dont know how it will last I have had it 3 days but it has a 2 yr warranty if you register it. Read the directions. Twist the head off 1/4 turn counter clockwise if you want to clean it.

I've tried 4 different types of these trimmers. This one actually cuts! Yes, it does get a little warm as it works, like others have said, but it's not bad. I needed this for my ears. But it works great for nose, also.

I've had this trimmer for about a year now and I can confidently say it's the best nose hair trimmer I've ever used. I've tried 5 or 6 other ones in the past, some manual, some electric, some reciprocating and some rotary. This is by far the best. It finishes the job much faster than any of the others, cuts as close as any other, never causes any nicks or pain whatsoever, and is easy to clean and maintain. The battery life is great - I think I've replaced the battery only once so far. Highly recommended.

I ordered the metal version because I didn't really want a cheap plastic product; sadly, I was quite disappointed. The metal case is actually just a very thin aluminum sleeve over a plastic housing, and I've seen scores of small, cheap aluminum-body flashlights that have far more substantial and better made aluminum housings. The end-cap, which serves as both the battery cap and a rotating on-off switch, is a very thin aluminum cap fitted over a plastic cap; all the friction parts are plastic, and will surely wear and fail in short order. And the nose-hair attachment - which I expected to be stainless steel, is - shades of the 1960's - cheap, crudely done, chrome-plated plastic! And, again, all of the friction parts holding it to the body are plastic, so will easily wear. So, the overall build quality leaves much to be desired. As for cutting nose hair, the uniquely-shaped cutting head seems to work fairly well, easily removing hair from some areas that are tough to get to with scissors. That said, two things deserve mention. First, be very gentle and careful when using it, as in my experience it can definitely cut/scrape the inside of the nose and make a blody mess. And, second, get ready for the smell of burning hair during use, as evidently grinding up hair in the cutting head does something along that line. The set comes with a zippered eyeglass-type case to keep everything together.

Does what it is supposed to - quick and easy! The design has a real quality feel of durable metal. It is easy to operate and clean up afterwards. The additional beard and hair trimmer attachments were an added bonus.

I have been using Braun for a couple years, after first trying out my uncle's. I have always noticed that it had a harder time getting all the nose hairs, especially longer ones. So I tried the ConairMan just for comparison, seeing its design was different. I used Conair right after using the Braun, and Conair not only got hair missed by the Braun, but did it very quickly. To be fair my Braun is almost 2 years old so the blades are less sharp, but I remember this annoyance at it taking a longer time and missing some follicles for quite a while, so I think the difference is due to razor design

This is a fantastic product for trimming you nose hair clean off. Unfortunately, it’s way too loud for trimming your ear hair, it will leave your ears ringing. If you want the best of both worlds, get the Conair to clean up your nose hairs, and the Panasonic ER 430 for your ear hair.
