Not exactly as depicted in the picture ...
as the end markings/rings are different, (painted in this case with the wood not 'grooved'). Each end needed needed a light sanding to make them smooth also. ... But I'm guessing that as this wooden item it is 'hand turned' and finished to a time-frame, so probably each one has its own 'character'. That said, this short oklava, (rolling pin) is not an expensive item and appears fine for my intended purpose. ... I'm looking forward to rolling out some dough to attempt making some homemade Turkish Gözleme, where the dough needs to be rolled quite thin.

A bit disappointing
I have used oklavas in my household for years and was happy to find this on Amazon. However, I was disappointed by the length/price ratio. Too expensive and feels cheaply made.
