Ok,let me start out by saying that I’ve only had this book for 2 days and I’ve already made 3 recipes and they were fairly tasty. However, that’s where the fun ends. Most recipes look delicious(and I’m sure most are by what I’ve tasted so far), but there are way too many Asian inspired dressings.(and the “Dips” in the title is misleading, because she uses same recipes and just says “add less water for dip) Also, many recipes include her homemade ingredients that take extra time to make. Example-“Vegg Salad”...one ingredient is young Thai coconut...not sure where you find those but it’s an ingredient in many of her recipes. Another ingredient is her cashew sour cream(need to make ahead of time and soak cashews for 5-8 hours) Another ingredient is her homemade yellow mustard(need to make ahead of time and marinate for 2 days) So besides having to flip back and forth through the book, you also discover you should have started making it 2 days prior! And most of those homemade recipes only last a couple days in the fridge, so you can’t make them ahead of time and store them until you need them. But to give her the benefit of the doubt, her book is written for raw vegans, so I assume if you are not raw vegan, you could just use vegan sour cream or plain mustard and skip all the longer homemade condiments. Lastly $38 for a paperback is ridiculous for ANY book! But since what I’ve tried so far is good, I will give her a 3 for taste.

If I could only own one raw vegan recipe book - this would be the one!
I am a low fat raw vegan on a strict medical diet that does not allow oil, nuts, or seeds. Thankfully, this book has been am amazing source of dressings and sauces to turn my raw fruit and veggie medleys into gourmet delights! I love how the book is broken up into sections based on whether or not the recipes contain "overt" fats. Several recipes in the first half of the book have become my new go-to-dressings since they are all nut, oil, and seed free and taste absolutely amazing. There is so much variety and creativity involved in these recipes, making the book a very good value. The book is also fun to look at, with lovely photographs that provide endless inspiration. Finally, I have to say, the "pizza salad dressing" is hands down the best raw vegan marinara type sauce I have ever tasted and I have tried many, many, recipes and never found one I actually liked until now.

Raw Vegan Game Changer
I absolutely love this book! I like it so much I bought the Kindle version and the hardcopy so I could always have the recipes on my phone, in case I'm at the store thinking of dinner ingredients. This book is filled with SUCH a variety of sauces, dressings and even condiments like zucchini croutons and cashew feta. So far I have made the French Dressing, the Sundried Tomato, the Lemon Szechuan, and the Jalepeno Tahini. I can't even pick my favorite so far because I have loved all of these so much! I also made the cashew sour cream with half sunflower seeds - fantastic! I can't wait to make everything in this book! The cool thing is, you can do different things with every sauce - use them as a salad dressing, on zoodles, dip raw kale into them and make flavored kale chips, thin them out and have soup... with SO many recipes to choose from, there are countless possibilities! The book is beautifully made, with gorgeous photos and an eye-pleasing layout. If you're getting a little bored with your raw vegan diet, or even if you just want a plethora of healthy, homemade sauces, get this book! It has been well worth the money.Update 11/12/19 - This is still my most-used raw vegan cookbook. I have tried almost everything in the book, and only disliked about 4 recipes - but it was just because the flavor combinations weren't for me. I wanted to point out that the author does not set the price of the hard cover book - this is set by Amazon because they are printed on demand. You can always get the e-book if price is an issue, and Melissa often does sales, esp. around the holidays.

This is my new favorite raw vegan cookbook
This is my new favorite raw vegan cookbook! I love the way that Melissa has organized her recipes by no overt fats, low fat and higher fat. It's so easy to look for something specific whether I am in search of a salad dressing, a dip, or topping. As an aspiring raw vegan still learning, I'm loving her no overt fat recipes the most. Those are the ones that I struggle to create on my own, and are the hardest to find out there on the web. Seems like everything has cashew or avocados in it, so it's really nice to have such a robust collection on no fat recipes to choose from (and they are amazing too). So far I've tried probably a dozen recipes from this book (all within the first two weeks of receiving the book!) and I've loved all of them. It's hard to select a favorite one because they are just all so good but right now I'd say I've really been enjoying the Loaded Jalapeno BBQ and the Mango Chili Lime! And there are so many other ones too that I can't wait to try. Besides having awesome content, the book is aesthetically pleasing as well - the fonts, colors, and photos are all gorgeous - Melissa really did an outstanding job on this book - it came out incredible. I definitely recommend it to all - not just raw vegans!

My Favorite Salad Dressing Recipes
These have become my absolute favorite salad dressing recipes! Favorite thing about all her recipes is that they aren't overly complicated. I also have her original 30 Day Meal Plan, which also has recipes I love. Another thing I like is that they are all tasty and not packed with fat like many raw food recipes out there. This book in particular has a no fat section, a low fat section and a more fat section. I would say there is something for everybody in the book. These days I'm probably making one of her recipes at least 3 or 4 days a week. Highly recommend all her books!

Melissa truly knows how to do recipes right. She offers several alternatives for different styles of veganism - especially no oil! (as an oil-heavy diet leads to diabetes for nonvegans as well as vegans). This book actually deserves 6-stars as she is a groundbreaker.

Amazing
Very expensive but I decided to buy it because of the great reviews and because I like real books not ebooks. What can I say? The flavours of these sauces are awesome! I'm hooked on several and I'm still working my way through the book. I judge how good a recipe book is on how often I return to it and this one is in constant use.

So Disappointed!
I eagerly awaited this book's arrival. When I received it I began reading it immediately. To my surprise, the quality of photos in this book is VERY poor. It looks like she did them herself with her phone and some photo filter app. The photos did not scale properly so they look blurry. Sometimes she made an incorrect filter choice and all you can see is blurry blobs. I could live with it if the price of this book was not so high. She is charging hardcover prices and didn't even use a food stylist or anything. If she did then she didn't use good graphic designer. It does not look professional. This makes me feel like she is trying to make a fast buck off the community instead of producing a quality cookbook that serves her audience AND is a bestseller.

Best than expected !!!!
I initially made a comment on Instagram to Lissa about the price (too high) ... but then just watching her Youtube and Instagram, I just decided to go ahead and get it !!!Let me tell you ... it is worth every cent!!!! Lots of work put in there, but most importantly .... amazingly easy to incorporate into your current lifestyle, if you are looking for some healthy options. You don't have to be fully raw or vegan for that matter in order to take advantage of Lissa's awesome and easy recipes! When I say easy, I mean recipes easy to make and with ingredients that almost everyone has already, and if not ... easy to get!!!I highly recommend lissa's book, and encourage you to take a look at her youtube channel: Lissa's Raw Food Romance !!!!To you Lissa: You are trully inspirantional .... Thank you!!!
