Q: Does the box lock with a key so it cannot be opened without the key?

It comes with a key but any screwdriver will open it; I got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QJBDGZ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And fitted to the unit The box is Great. I bent the cam in a vice to get the proper snug when the door is closed

Q: Could this junction box be mounted sideways so that the door flips up and still be waterproof?

There is an entry panel on the bottom of the box that has a removable piece of tin to drill and insert the meyers hub. This piece of tin is sealed with a foam/rubber gasket. I think it'd be water proof at first but I'm not sure how long that gasket would weather with direct exposure to the elements. The door on the box itself is considerably water tight.
