I love this Patty Maker!
For years we have been puchasing ground beef and forming it into patties prior to using or placing in the freezer with each patty separately plastic wrapped. It's been a great method for us as we are able to take out individual patties for use as either hamburgers or to make into ground beef for other dishes. The challenge has always been the process of making the patties. It's tedious and time consuming and the patties have always been difficult to make into a good shape. This patty maker does exactly what I was hoping it would! It very quickly and easily shapes and presses the patties. I was concerned the beef would get stuck inside the press, but it did not at all. It came out nicely with a gentle knock against the counter. I used 88/12 chilled beef. I like thinner patties when making burgers, but I simply reduced the amount of beef I added to the press until I got the thickness I desired. Overall, I'm happy and excited about this product and would certainly purchase it again.

Does The Job Really Well!!!
Long before I can even remember, I gave up trying to make hamburgers at home, leaving that task to restaurants and take-out. I recently purchased an indoor grill and thought I’d give it another try, only this time using a burger press.Galvanox’s Press Patty Maker makes a big difference! It arrived in an attractive box suitable for gifting and is solidly made, especially the comfortably shaped solid wooden handle. No assembly required.I followed the advice I got from YouTube and used 80% ground beef, made sure it was chilled, added no salt until the last moment, and didn’t overwork the meat when forming the patties.I found using six-ounces of ground beef in the press makes a patty that is about 1/2 inch thick, just what I was after. And, best of all, the patty really didn’t stick; fell right out with just a couple of taps of the inverted base on the counter! No need for waxed paper or parchment!!!The evenly shaped patties grilled up juicy and browned. I’m very pleased and excited to add burgers to my home menu! Have several now in the freezer ready for the next meal.

This press made beautiful Pattie’s that slip right off
You want to take great care of these because they seem to be made with a nice nonstick surface. I don’t know how durable this surface is and I don’t want to test the durability. I’ve always used a dollar patty press made of plastic with no wax sheets. And I’ve always had to bang them on the counter to release the patty. I’ve also had to apply pressure in different spots to push the patty into a round disk. This press was easy to use. I plopped a ball into the press and put the top on. It quickly formed it into a disk and the patty basically fell out into my hand when I tipped it over (a good thing). It’ll probably handle up to half pound Patties.

Now I Can Make Real Burgers
Firstly, where I buy my hamburger meat, a 5lb tube of 80/20 costs $1 to $2 a lb less than premade burgers. And those premade burgers aren't very thick. So at 80/20 they cook up dry, and at 75/25 they fry up at about half the size of the bun...and greasy. So now with this little gadget, I divide up that 5lb tube into nice burgers, that I then freeze up for later. (And, my burgers taste now like a burger should. They have a real meaty flavor.) And an additional benefit is that price-wise, I get one free burger out of every 5lb tube.

Patties come out a little too small.
This product came in a nice box and it would make a great gift for someone. I just wish it would of come with instructions. The first time I used it the Patty got stuck in it and I had to use a fork to get it out. If you spray some cooking oil in it you will have better success. Or you could possibly line it with parchment paper. You could make up to 1/2 pound patties with this product but they will be on the small side after you cook them. The patties measure about 3 inches across when cooked and a regular hamburger bun is about 4 inches across.

Great material
We always assemble hamburgers at home, buy ground meat, and season to our taste, but before our burgers were always very unusual, except for the conventional round shape. With this shape we now we have perfect burgers, the shape is very resistant, material with great finish, easy to clean and store. I recommend it to everyone, great cost benefit.

Much lighter than expected
This is very thin aluminum - much lighter weight than I was expecting. Also the handle doesn't line up and the finish on the bottom is splotchy. Overall, while it's a cute idea and can do the job of forming burgers fine, it has a ways to go on execution. I would be embarrassed to give it as a father's day gift.
