Great value
The wife was wanting a desktop fan...I already had one of these that I purchased about 4 years ago, and is still going strong 👍So for me it was easy!.. No need to shop around, just purchase another one 😊Highly recommended. Thanks John 😎

Works well
I had been using 12v fans cobbled to USB leads for a while, but they don't move much air when running on 5v. So I thought I'd try a proper USB fan. This fan works pretty well actually. It's not too loud - though as it's a small fan turning at high speed there's always going to be some noise. I like the on/off switch. I'd prefer it if it had a proper variable speed controller but for this price that was never going to happen! The foam feet do a good job of isolating any vibration away from the desk too.It looks fairly unobtrusive on my desk, and doesn't look too cheap and nasty in plain black. It was packed just in a cardboard box which had clearly been used for a game of corridor rugby by the delivery company. However the fan itself had survived unscathed somehow - I was expecting it to be in several pieces when I saw the state of the box.The airflow is fairly diffuse, and like all small fans you have to find the 'sweet spot' where the flow is greatest. For me this is with it pointing approx 45deg away from me.I'm happy with it because full size desk fans tend to freeze the side of your face or blow all your papers around. Whereas this emits a nice breeze which isn't too powerful but enough to help cool you in an open plan office (where the temperature is ALWAYS set to 150C, and any opening windows are always guarded by people who would feel cold in Death Valley at noon...;-)And finally: The box proudly states: "Lileng-816 USB Mini fan. Ultra-low Power-wind Volume. Shape Amiability. Free Angle Adjustment. Super Mute"And if anyone can translate the following for me I'd appreciate it: "Do not open the fan on its own network or decomposition of the first modification of this commodity":-)

Great little fan
I've been working in offices for years now and never find the air-conditioning satisfactory. To make matters worse, a lot of the companies I've worked for have "building facilities" departments that are only too quick to remove from your desk any personal electrical equipment, such as fans, as they believe they could spontaneously ignite and burn the office to the ground. I therefore needed a fan that would be both effective and suitably discrete so that these office jobs-worths would overlook it in favour of bigger fish to fry. Anyway, I saw this fan on Amazon and thought that the reasonable price made it worth a punt. As it turned out, it's probably one of the best little fans I've bought. It only has the one setting (ie; an on and off button) but it's powerful enough for those days when the office is a few degrees above the comfortable level. The fan is powered by a USB cable and if I was to quibble about anything it's that the cable could do with being a little longer. Still, you can get USB extension cables easily enough so it's no big deal.

Not too bad
The product is OK. It's made of very cheap plastic, it weighs absolutely nothing and even has a childs sticker on the front of it.The airflow is low but enough to give you a slight cool breeze on a hot day, but you'll probably want it quite close to you to feel any real benefit.I didn't realise this product was sent from Singapore so as you can imagine the delivery time is shockingly bad, it took weeks to arrive. It arrived in a jiffy bag so the (thin) box containing the fan was absolutely battered, I'm surprised the fan didn't get broken in the mail. So yeah, don't buy this as a gift.At the end of the day though it's a cheap way of cooling yourself on a hot day and has a lot less expensive running costs compared to a mains fan.

Keep cool, stay quiet...
What a great buy! I only hope that it lasts. Sturdy build - the screws on each side hold it at the desired angle with ease. On an exceptionally slippery/well polished desk the fan may try to run away as there is some vibration. I cannot fault it though. I am in a medium to quiet office with little noise from phone conversations - most of the background white noise is the airconditioning. I have it just over a foot away from my face and I can barely hear it. It's great if your office is the right temperature, but you just need that bit of air movement. You can happily position it 2 or 3 feet away for a pleasant, afternoon breeze...

Brilliant desk fan - built to last
I actually bought this between 2 and 3 years ago and it still works perfectly!Sits on my desk in work for particularly hot summer days and when the heating is on too long in winter. Top notch desk fan, really keeps you cool and built to last.*Update - I bought this in 2013 and now in 2017 it is still going strong as my desktop fan in work during summer. Despite having left it on overnight many time and even all weekend sometimes.

Buy something else
Perfectly fine if you want to strap it to your face because you won't feel anything unless your a about an inch away from it

Fan
A little cheap and effective desk fan, this is one of my greatest friends during the hot summer months when my office AC struggles to keep up. It plugs into your USB and provides a reasonably quiet stream of air. You're not getting fantastic build quality, speed control or durability, but it's not something that you'd feel bad replacing if it broke or someone decided to half inch it. Makes me feel very smug and happy when everyone around me is slowly melting.
