I use mass primarily to polish aluminum.. it is EXCELLENT. I've tried most other popular name brand polishes and none come close to mass i.m.h.o.

Q: I'm thinking of purchasing the can of Maas polish, how does the can open? Does it have a top that can be used to store the unused polish?

The lid is one that has to be lifted like the ones you see on auto polish cans. It can be replaced after using the polish. This is great stuff, I love it.

Q: Does the protection wash off with water?

It's been almost a year since I polished all of the brass cabinet knobs and pulls in my kitchen. They are only now starting to show minimal tarnish, and really only on the hardware that gets everyday use. After polishing, I washed the hardware in hot soapy water before reinstalling. Throughout the year, I have wiped them off with a wet rag, as needed. The protection doesn't seem to have been affected by water. The Maas metal polish is the best that I've used through the years! The only comment I have about the cleaner is that the thick creamy texture it had in the beginning has become more liquid. The contents need to be stirred as they tend to separate. I have gotten the best results on brass. My silver items still need to be polished every 3 to 4 months. The polish was very effective on reconditioning my aluminum sink, getting rid of scratches and water spots. Hope this helps!!!
