Le Creuset Stoneware Salt Crock, 10 oz., Sea Salt

It is a lovely salt crock. It has a nice big opening and it looks great. Not a bargain obviously, but it is made well.

My favorite kitchen accessory! You might think you don’t need this - I promise you do. I don’t cook a ton, so for me to say this is handy is huge! Love it!

We love to cook and a big part of that is proper seasoning. Having easy access to salt that you can grab by hand is, well, handy. Over the years we’ve tried several salt cellars and this is the one that’s stayed. The cellar itself is sturdy, having survived more than a couple moves. The design is simple yet attractive. The opening is big enough to get a sizable pinch of salt in one go. There’s not much more you need in a salt cellar. Note that it is open and there’s no way to close it. In humid places, like where we live, the salt can get somewhat clumpy, but it’s never caused an issue. We like ours so much we bought one for a friend.

This is my second crock. The first was a gift and I never knew how much I needed it in my life and it quickly became the most used tool in my kitchen. That being said, the replacement I purchased is so gorgeous. The color is listed as grey but it is a soft grey blue which I am thrilled by. I couldn't be happier with this crock

You can never go wrong with Le Creuset! These salt crocks are my go-to gifts. Whether it's for house warming parties, bridal showers, or birthdays/Christmas, this is always a fan favorite. This Salt Crock is quite large, however it's useful to have on the counter or to out when hosting dinner parties. I highly recommend!

The first one that shipped was just the crock in its cardboard box, no padding. It arrived in many pieces. We didn't open it but we did enjoy it's musical jingling all the way back to UPS where it was sent back to amazon. 2nd one arrived packaged properly. It's lovely. Lovely color and perfect size. We use this next to the stove where its easy to reach in to get salt without opening a container. The shape, which is really what makes a salt pig so special, prevents any exciting splashes or spatter from the stove getting in to the salt.

Sea salt is a green colour. Used for holding salt, opening makes it easy to get salt. Item was delivered sooner than stated.

The salt crock is a great product. It holds a pretty good amount of salt, however it would be nice if the front lip was a bit higher to hold more. Very attractive on a counter next to the stove. It's not a pure "white paint" white, but a little warmer. It goes great with my white tiles and white cabinets. It's not a yellow-white or a blue-white in its tone. I've banged it around a few times and it's held up too. It is great quality and exactly what I expect from Le Creuset.

I was excited to get my Salt pig but dismayed to see it was green instead of cherry. I applied for a refund, went to the post office and sent the green one back. Once again I ordered a cherry one. Once again I got green. Sending it back again. I'm reluctant to try again...still waiting on a refund from the first purchase.
