Very sensible buy for many people who want what it’s designed to do
Used 5 months and very satisfied. For videoconferencing the image quality is visibly superior to that from a good computer’s built-in camera. I use a Røde microphone, so can’t comment on the mike in this device, but I find the loudspeaker sound perfectly adequate for incoming speech. No problems with echo or feedback, which I think means the Logitech people have done clever stuff, and I think this is quite remarkable. No need for earphones to prevent these problems, so visual communication is unencumbered by those. The result shows in presentations to the public, where the result is decisively better than other people get by just relying in their computer’s camera and mike. Now the big issue. The reason I use this camera is the importance of appearing to look at the viewer, not below, above or to one side. This means I need the camera in front of the screen, between me and it. So I’ve got the ball containing the camera obstructing my view of the screen. I use the stalk. To me this big sacrifice is absolutely worth it. My job is communication and what the viewer sees is worth inconveniencing myself for.Used without the stalk it provides all the benefits except the eye contact with the viewer. Many will want to use it that way. Still a good choice if that suits you. That’s how most people choose to work. You can still switch to using the stalk on occasions when that’s more important. I’ve suggested that the option of a half-length stalk could be good.It would be great if the camera could be flipped aside easily when not videoconferencing and flipped back when needed. But this is an economical device and it doesn’t have that feature. Actually I’m not aware of any product which does. Personally I don’t keep switching between stalk and no stalk. Rightly or wrongly I think it might eventually cause problems. So whether this is the right choice for you depends on your priorities. There are plenty of people for whom it’s an excellent choice, though many won’t understand why the downside is worth putting up with.Yes, there are better cameras. People who pay four times as much are not mad, they have different requirements. There are good cameras for less, but without the USP of this one. For me, it hits the sweet spot.

Really like this top quality camera and the speakers sound good ...
Really like this top quality camera and the speakers sound good - the green call button doesnt seem to do anything in Skype - May work in other apps and the zoom is minimal which is a shame - just a couple of minor things the ability to use the remote to move the camera and the quality more than make up for it

Does a very good job.
This works well with Skype - the sound is very good as is the microphone (according to the people on the other end). Video quality is very good but when you use the the remote (or the base buttons) to move the camera, it is jerky. Also once it is in place I found that if you move the unit around it easily turns off so you have to reconnect it again. This is only a minor issue so I haven't docked any points.

we needed a simple web conferencing camera and the Logitech BCC950 looked like it would fit the bill
At work, we needed a simple web conferencing camera and the Logitech BCC950 looked like it would fit the bill.We used the webcam with a Windows 10 machine and once setup, it worked straight out the box. The setup was pretty simple, there is a USB connection and a power lead. You can swap the power lead for a supplied USB cable that can be used with a powered USB hub.Depending on the desired height of the camera, the camera ball itself can be used on the stork, or without by plugging it directly in to the base. We have ours sat on a shelf on an AV trolly, so we're using it without the stork. The picture quality is good and the microphone and speaker are really good. We have up to 6-8 people at any one time on a call and this works just fine. The supplied remote allows you to rotate the camera, adjust the volume and end the call. We've used this with Skype, Hangouts and Join.me and it has worked fine with all 3.

A great quality item that works a treat.
Did loads of research on web cams and after weeks of looking decided on this one. It’s not cheap but it’s great. Plugged it in the computer and it worked perfectly straight away. A great quality item.

Does NOT work with Microsoft Teams
Bought this for my home office instead of headset. But did not find a driver which would make it work with Microsoft Teams on Win11. The Camera is not active and does not follow you, neither you cannot use the controlls for the call, Mute/Unmute it only works as a speaker for which it is a waste of money :(

Smart Product
I love this feature, camera moved with remote not auto face identification, i was assuming because the video review shows that way. smart marketing.expensive for just the skype callsi will retain this, because it looks good on my desk, expensive for the purpose.......................

Very high quality image and sound
The quality of the image and sound is very impressive. Superb for small scale video conferencing requirements. Extremely easy to set up. Only thing I don't like so much is the jerky motion of the camera when you try to point it with the remote control, that could have been a lot smoother, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.
