Great Buy! They Get Cooler with Each Wear!
I love my Dickies Painter overalls, had them on earlier today. I actually bought them a while ago and I actually paint in them. Mine are spattered with drips and smears of all different color paint and the canvas has shrunk just a little bit, but enough that the overalls look like they belong to me. I actually love walking around in them when I’m not painting too. I like the way people treat me in my painter overalls. Artsy and unpretentious, legit and ready-for-anything. I actually have a ton of Dickies stuff: a few other pairs of overalls, a couple Eisenhower jackets (both lined and unlined), and the herringbone coveralls, just to name a handful. Unlike the high price-point of certain other workwear brands, Dickies stuff is my kind of vibe- durable/great value and it gets cooler the longer you have it! How great is that?

Quality and fit are great!
I got these overalls so I could dye them bright yellow. With 100% cotton, one can't go wrong by dying 100% cotton. The only parts of the overalls that didn't dyecas deeply were the elasticized shoulder straps which have synthetic fibers, which didn't take the dye as deeply, but am satisfied with the result. One doesn't see bright yellow overalls too often, except maybe at Disney! LOL...

Well made
Solid construction and nice weight fabric. Wears up well with washing. Plenty of pockets for all the incidentals needed. Nice fit, very roomy in the middle. Ours were too long even after washing in hot water and the drier. Next time 2”s shorter would be better.

Seem to be decent quality
While I haven't worn these yet, I have tried them on, washed and dried, and tried them on again. They do seem to be decent quality, I'll try to remember to update this after I've worn them some.I normally would order 38/32 but based on other reviews I ordered 30" inseam. After washing and drying they are maybe just a smidgen shorter than I would like but 32" would have been way too long. I'm happy with them as is. My only complaint is that the legs below the knew are very wide. I would prefer them to be tapered somewhat.

Order up, unless you like snug overalls
You’d think overalls would give you some leeway in choosing waist size. As long as it’s not way off. My plan was to use Prime Wardrobe and choose between 40” and 42”. But as soon as I added them both, Amazon removed the wardrobe option for the 40”. So I bought the 42” and would exchange if they were unreasonably large. What they turned out to be was TOO SMALL! There are two buttons on each side to close the waist opening. I can’t even button the higher pair of buttons (unless I wanted to lower them so the crotch was around knee height. But that baggy hip-hop look doesn’t work with overalls. I should exchange them for 44”, but then everything would look too large. I’ll just leave the top buttons undone and lose some weight.Inseam is 34” and true to size. Leg openings are wider than expected. Fabric seams heavy, but that may be just from being new, and a wash or two should soften them up. The straps seem widely placed; but maybe due to my having more around my waist than chest. I wear 44-46 long suits and jackets.I’m not a painter, and bought these to experiment with dyes to add color and design. Should work well for that. So, I can’t speak for smaller waist sizes. But if you wear 38-40” pants, order at least 42” in these.
