Great book with plenty of annotated images.
Rosanna is an incredible personality and her show ‘Nerdy Nummies’ is Extremely enjoyable even if I do not bake any of her creations.I bought this book to give me some motivation to do some cooking/baking. A plethora of recipes have been provided. Annotated images to really help the reader identify important steps in the baking process of each product.Rosanna has also included an extremely helpful 2-page annotated image of a Motherboard for her motherboard cake creation. Despite being an IT Technician, I found this addition to be of great help to those less familiar with technology and computing components.Recommend to anyone who loves nerdy and geeky stuff and would like to get into baking.

I always used to love baking and wanted something to help me get back ...
I adore watching Ro for inspiration, I got her book as I have recently moved and own 0 cooking books. I always used to love baking and wanted something to help me get back into it. In Ro's cook book she gives a variety of typical recipes for day to day use and then shows you how to make more complex and fun cakes and treats, it is great for anyone wanting a more imaginative treat! A little warning to fellow UK citizens, she measures in cups, which is about 240ml I believe, but its still easy to understand! Also the brownies are so good, just saying.

Full of good ideas
I enjoy watching Rosanna’s YouTube channel- especially Nerdy Nummies- specifically because Rosanna finds away to make her baked goods at least 99% edible. A lot of the other baking channels on YouTube have recipes which are 60% edible and 40% structural support. Not only is Rosanna’s book full of her great ideas, there is also an index of metic conversions & templates in the back which is very helpful.

Let's Get Started!
The Nerdy Nummies Cookbook is the first recipe book from YouTube star Rosanna Pansino and if you haven't checked her out yet go and look now. Cooking up treats squarely aimed at the geek community, she has a legion of fans from teenagers to grown men who just want to cook a Portal Cake (I did - and it was delicious!) As a result I was looking forward to her first cookbook, and she has done a decent job. All the recipes are clearly illustrated and feature commentary and banter from Ro in her usual charming way. The book itself is beautifully designed, with recipes covering 6 sections - Math & Science, Space, Fantasy & Sci-Fi, Gaming, Tech & Web and Geeky treats. There's something for everyone here whether you're a beginner or a master cook, and all the steps are clearly illustrated. The majority of recipes are brand new (over 2/3rds according to the blurb) while the other third contains reworked and improved recipes from the YouTube channel. The recipe's are all good and up to Ro's usual standard, but my first disappointment was that there are no recipes based on licensed brands. From Superman to Star Wars to My Little Pony to Minecraft Ro's YouTube channel features lots and lots of recipes based on well known properties . Obviously the publisher wasn't prepared to pony up (pun intended) to license the properties from Hasbro, Disney and Co. and so we're left with generic things like a dinosaur fossil cake and Zombie Brain Cake. While recipes could easily be adapted to suit a licensed property it does put a dent in Ro's Geek Queen Crown. The biggest criticism I have with the book though isn't down to Ro herself but to the publisher Little Brown Book Group, part of publishing Behemoth Hachette. The book was released 2 weeks ago in the US, and I assumed the two week delay meant that the publisher would be updating the book for a UK audience; I assumed wrong. All recipe measurements are in Cups and quarts, premade icing, 'candies' and a lot of ingredients are American versions and the Resource guide at the back features only US based suppliers and manufacturers. There is a conversion chart at the back, but instead of leaving readers across the land spending the holiday season with calculators, someone at Little Brown could have spent an afternoon converting measurements and finding alternatives to US brands, instead this is just a lazy cut a paste of the U.S master-copy where the only thing different is the bar-code and price in pounds. And, yes, I know that Ro's YouTube channel also uses American measurements and brands, but you can usually just ask in the comments what an equivalent UK brand will be or the conversions and someone will message you back. And that's ultimately why the book doesn't get a better rating from me, the YouTube channel is a much better source and more entertaining iteration of Ro's recipes. For a fan of Ro this will be a great gift, and if you chuck in a calculator, scrap paper and a UK Cooking accessories and ingredients catalogue it would be the perfect gift for all geeks and wannabes throughout the country. Hopefully this will sell bucket loads and her next book will include actual proper licensed recipes and an updated measurements and ingredients list for those of us across the pond.

My 8 year old baker LOVED it!
We got this for my daughter for her birthday as she is a HUGE fan of her work on Youtube. In all honesty, Rosana Pansino saved my daughter from having an awful lockdown and brought her back to her joyful and confident self again! The books are beautifully displayed, the recipes are easy to follow and the step-by-step images really help with that.If you have a budding baker in the family then I fully recommend buying this book for them!

Not simple but fun for enthusiastic young bakers
It’s complicated but it wouldn’t be original if it wasn’t. I bought this after much begging from my daughter who is 7 and a huge fan. The recipes are ingredient/equipment-intense and time consuming but not impossible, fun to do together and the end result is very tasty. I’ll be buying the next book for her for Christmas.

Amazing
I ordered this as I love Rosanna pansino, it is really helpful as it gives you all the different baking options and shows you fun and different ways to change a plain old chocolate cake into a mega chess cake. I would definitely recommend this book and would like to thank amazon for giving opportunities for people to buy this book

Colourful with recipes that have a twist of colour or design.
Bought this for my daughter who just loves Rosanna Pansino and is inspired by her baking. She has followed a few of the recipes so far and the results have been impressive. The book has lots of colour and in my opinion, perhaps too much detail/information. When I cook I like to have instructions that are straightforward, almost 'listed'. This book is almost like a journal of information which could put some people off the baking element. Does appeal to young people interested in baking. Some non-traditional, whacky variations to everyday baking. If you want to bake something different, this book would be useful.
