Temperture control
I have had three heaters. This is the only one that is controlling the temperature where I set it.

Great backup to the neo therm pro
Bought the neo therm pro to put in my tank, but I needed a back up heater and a heater for water changes. Grabbed this and I’m very happy with it. A little simpler than the Neo therm but it gets the job done. Easy to read temp when in your hand but a little hard to read from extreme angles when it’s under water. Button on top is easy to use. I would buy this again. Holds temp really well and heats a five gallon bucket in no time. Just wish the temp numbers were easier to read from above.

Allows you to easily set a temperature
This aquarium heater lets you easily change the temperature with a push button on the top and the temperature reads out on the face of the heater. I have used it for a couple of weeks in one of my aquariums and I have no complaints. The suction cups stick to the glass and it heats up the water quickly.

It works
EDIT: This heater would be better if it had some type of protective layer or bracket on it. It gets too hot to handle. During one of my tank maintenance cleanings, I unplugged everything and started to remove filter media, etc from the tank to clean. I removed the thermometer and placed it down on a towel to dry. Within a few seconds, the towel caught fire. I would not use this thermometer inside the active water column of a tank. I feel it would hurt a fish if it swam too close to it.-----------------------------This is my first aquarium heater so I have nothing to compare this to, but here are my thoughts.I like that it comes with everything you need—heater, bracket with suction cups. So far the suction cups are working well and the thermometer is staying attached to the aquarium wall. It is fairly easy to change the temp on the thermometer. You just push the button on the top to change the temp. The temp value will illuminate when selected. If the water temp is different from your selection, the light will flash at the current temp until it reaches the temp setting you chose. Once the temp reaches the desired temp, just one solid light will stay illuminated. I have my heater sitting in the back of my fluval flex 15 gallon tank and it fits great. I’m not sure how other heaters work, but this thing gets HOT. I actually touched it while trying to adjust a suction cup and it’s hot! So I’m not how this would do on the inside of the tank with the fish. Not sure if the fish would swim by and get burned or not. But from my experience, it works well in the fluval tank’s back reservoir. At first I felt like the water was getting really hot so I purchased another thermometer to verify water temps. After turning on and off the thermometer, the temps stabilized to the desired temperature. It’s only been in my tank for about a week, but it’s working well so far.

High Quality. Digital control.
There is nothing not to like about this unit. Heavy glass enclosure, very secure mounting system, heavy duty extension cord. The digital control and display are the best - this heater is made for the 21st century. Heaters with mechanical controls can be less accurate, less reliable, and more prone to water leakage. The digital display of this unit also indicates the actual temperature of the tank - no need for a separate thermometer. The digital display is very accurate - I tested it with a separate and very accurate digital thermometer I own. This unit is a cut above the rest.
