Product and hardware are excellent.
The welded 4 x 4 pedestals fit very well! I appreciated all the hardware the company supplied. Overall, this is an excellent product with excellent service.

Great stuff, very pleased
These were so much less expensive than at Home Depot. They've been holding up the four by fours for a month now and still look perfect. No rust, no issues. Highly recommend.

Very Well Made
But they will not fit on 6 x 6 (5.5" x 5.5") posts, so for that reason I'm only giving 4 stars. The good; They are very well made using heavier gauge steel with full welds, not just tack welds holding them together. And I really like the internal bases, which keep the posts slightly raised, allowing water to drain. And they were a perfect fit for the posts of the pre-fab pavilion, which are5 3/8" square. The bad; They don't fit 6 x 6 posts. And as one reviewer said, the sleeve anchors that come with the bases don't fit through the holes. So if you want to used them you need to set the anchors first or drill out the holes in the bases. Since I didn't set them first, I opted to use Tapcon anchors.Overall I'm very happy and would recommend them as long as you're not using 6 x 6 lumber.

high quality product: good coating, true to defined size
nothing to complain about, for the price and what you get, this is a great product. hardware is all there, works well (use the 5/16" bit to drill cement as others have mentioned. weld is fine, build is good, and coating is nearly perfect. they are exactly 5.6 inches inside, so yes, you have to trim the ends of the boards, but i did that anyways because i planed them. would buy and recommend again

Simple
Put a wood deck on my old boat trailer to make it a kayak using the lightest possible materials. Used one in front and one in the back installed a4ft 4x4 in each and 1in wood dowels as racks and it worked just fine, the brackets are a good way to support the vertical boards and they’re sturdy

Exceeded Expectations. Wow!
The media could not be loaded. What I liked is the Stability and appearance.I hardly ever purchase a “new” product. But very pleased I did here. The anchor screws to secure base to deck board are excellent. The screws supplied to go through the base into posts not so much. if you go in a bit crooked or over torque they will break off. Yet, even with 3 of 4 screws on the two sides, posts remain solidly in place. Your 3.5 x 3.5 post will go in very easy. Yes, you will have room. What I did was drill in adjacent high and low screws on each side to center post then put in remainder of screws. Very pleased with result.Final reason I went with this product, was the underside of base. Designed to Keepingthe base off deck board about 1/2” so water can Evaporate more easily. This is just one guy’s opinion. Hope it helps

Worked well
I used these for a handrail on a handicap rail. I ordered it because all the hardware came with it. It was easy to use and turned out well.

Inspect your parts for proper flitting prior to install and think it through
The review is for the 6x6 post base, and for concrete mount application. My home project was to lift up the entire pre-existing pergola structure, supported by four 6x6 posts, weighting about 800-1000 pounds, slide in these post bases, and set it down in place on the concrete pad.Metal material is good, and it fits well into 6x6 wood posts, the included wrench doesn't fit well on fasteners. There is also a big BUT, the holes on the base are oval, NOT round. The concrete anchor will not fit through the hole correctly. Since I have had used 5/16" concrete drill bit, I had enlarged the pre-manufactured hole to 3/8", otherwise, you WILL chew up the end on your carbide drill bit against the opening in the metal base. The anchor may also need a slightly larger flat washer. When fastening anchors, screws, and or drilling, you will need to use a longer drill bit or any other extension, otherwise, the drill head will scratch the black finish. The ratcheting works well also, when fastening to avoid any damage to the black finish on the post base. The improper hole size should be addressed and corrected by whomever is manufacturing the base, and some better fitting adjustments made to several anchor parts which are included in this kit.I hope you may find these details helpful prior to starting on your own project. Cheers!
