Buy it, you will not regret it!
This phone is perfect, I've had it since the beginning of January and it's the best phone I've ever bought, I have yet to find something I don't like about it! I had a ZenFone 2 and really liked the storage capacity, but pretty much hated everything else about the phone, the battery life and the camera were pretty terrible, just to name a few. The ZenFone 4 has none of the issues the 2 had and it's a much better value and quality than the 3. I opted for the 4 over the 3 because of the camera (and to a lesser extent the price). The camera takes pristine pictures instantaneously without needing to adjust a bunch of settings or wait for it to focus. It's especially good at taking low light pictures, which is what I love because I go to a lot of concerts and night events. To top that off, the camera is not a massive power drain. The storage capacity still can't be beat, it's sleeker and more durable than ZenFone 2 or 3, and the battery life is phenomenal. I can leave my screen on with apps running the entire day and it's still not dead, plus it charges in a fraction of the time it takes other smartphones. I'm a bit of an appoholic, I use my phone for games, podcast, events, fitness, travel, music, endless hours of videos and googling, keeping my life organized and my finances in check and pretty much everything in between so it's a relief that I can find something to store my endless list of content, while not overheating or sacrificing battery life. Plus to make all of that easier and quicker, it has fingerprinting, which honestly did not seem like something I needed until I had it... it's life changing. My friends can also vouch for this phone. It is constantly being borrowed out for picture taking, recording videos, downloading apps that their phones don't have space for, playing music without a speaker (it's built in sound system is impressive and has an outdoor mode to project), and using my phone to charge their's (yes it even dose that). Please do yourself a favor and stop pulling out your hair comparing phones like I did, it doesn't get much better than this one!UPDATE: I've now had this phone for over four years and it's still fantastic. I take a lot of pictures and videos. The low light feature is great for concerts. I wish the zoom picture quality was a little better, but still takes better pictures than my husband's Samsung phone. The audio quality on the videos is really good, it does not seem to get distorted even when music is blasting nearby. It's durable, I've dropped it a lot and it only has a tiny crack on the side of the screen. The one down side I will note is the battery life has significantly decreased, but that seems to be common with all phones. It probably doesn't help that I have around 200 apps installed and a lot of them like to run in the background. The fast charging using C to C cords helps mitigate the battery life loss because it charges the phone from 15% battery life to almost full within about a 20 minute drive.

Really Really Good!
There are some reviews out there that are not favorable to this phone. They are wrong. This phone is a budget phone and must be judged in that category. The iPhone is better. The Samsung Galaxy is better. With that said, I much prefer the Zenfone 4 over either as it is much more bang for the buck.Let's start with the good. The screen is excellent, especially at this price point. The body and weight of the phone is a nice premium feel. I haven't used the camera a lot at this point but the few photos I have taken, look good. It has this new fancy dual camera feature which is pretty neat. Bluetooth works without issue. I tested several Bluetooth devices and the only connection issues I had ended up being user error - woops. I was impressed with the speed of the phone; it is quite zippy. Phone call quality is good. The battery life is WOW! I charge it up overnight and it last all day. It is 4:19 in the afternoon as I write this and I still have 89%!I had a Zenfone 2 prior, and this was a nice upgrade. Let's face it you can buy an expensive smartphone with all the bells and whistles, but you will pay a hefty price for it. This phone delivers everything you need and some extras at a price you can't say no to.

A beautiful device with a premium feel and great performance!
I've had the Asus Zenfone 4 (4GB RAM, 64GB storage, up to 2TB external storage, Snapdragon 630 processor) for nearly 3-months now, and it has provided flawless service in all areas. This is my second Zenfone. The Qualcomm processor provides snappy performance with little to no lag. Video performance with the Adreno 508 graphics engine is smooth and crisp with excellent color and resolution for a non-AMOLED screen. Sound quality is stunning with headphones, but sadly, often not loud enough. One of the reasons I purchased the Zenfone 4 was for its camera/video performance, and it has not disappointed. The controls, especially in Pro mode, permit DSLR-like flexibility. The OIS and the main 12 mp rear camera produce crisp, color-neutral images that impress. It stands out as a low light performer. Very pleased. Even the 8mp wide angle rear camera produces beautiful, broad images. I have to confess, I haven't taken video, as yet. After initially looking over the specs before purchasing, I had thought the 3300mah battery might be the weak link. But, to my surprise, the battery life has been very good, with about a day and a half of service under heavy use. With USB type-C connector it charges from 0 to 100% in 1.5 hours. I believe the Qualcomm SD 630 to be quite an efficient processor. Very respectable. As a phone, using T-Mobile service, the reception and voice quality are excellent. No dropped calls. The appearance and feel of the Moonlight White unit offers a very satisfying, premium experience, with its shimmering glass finish and solid aluminum framework. Admittedly, the glass is slippery, so I recommend using the included clear cover. The Gorilla glass screen seems to resist finger prints quite well. I should also add that the front finger print scanner is very accurate and responsive.I like the fact that the Zen UI is very lean in this iteration, yet provides a few nice touches over stock Android. Although the Zenfone came initially with Android 7.1, it updated to 8.0 Oreo right away, and I must say, this beautiful device has functioned flawlessly since day one.I recognize that the Zenfone 4 is not the latest iteration of Asus line of phones, and the Zenfone 5 has been out for awhile now, but the Zenfone 4 is still a very capable phone device more than 18-months after its introduction. I look forward to future quality devices from Asus.
