Crescent I believe has had these for awhile and this is a beefier unit. The main handle remind me of that of a 3/4" breaker bar. That said the indexing shaft that extends, has some flex to it on heavy load. I opened it up full and edged it between the ball and hitch of my truck so I could put some real pressure on it. The shaft flexed more that I would have liked , but sometimes that flex gives a little more push on whatever you are trying to move. It did not feel like it wanted to bend , but I would be cautious putting all 240 of me behind it. The other thing this test , "tested" , was the indexing foot. It held in place with no issue. So I am a little cautious that a full weight bearing pull might bend the inner shaft, but it is a beast of a tool, so I'll go 4/5 until I give more testing in the field.

This bar is very well made and works great. I love these bars. The adjustable head and adjustable handle is so so useful in the Auto Repair industry. The head adjusts very easily as does the handle. No complaints. Buy it!
