This is a very nice, well built, well packaged handgun safe. I looked at several similar, cheaper, "quick access", made in China handgun safes, but poor reviews convinced me to consider this one. I definitely made the right choice. So far it has worked flawlessly. I like having three different methods of entry - a numeric key pad, a biometric finger print scanner, and if all else fails, a physical key. Set up directions were easy to understand and easy to follow, and when I registered this safe for its 1 year warranty, the manufacturer provided a free (and much appreciated) 2 additional years of warranty.Be advised that the emergency key access is on the backside, so depending on how and where this safe is mounted, having to use a physical key may be a real (if not impossible) challenge. Battery access is on the front, which is a nice feature, as is the interior drawer light. I did find it odd that the instruction manual warned against using this drawer safe for the storing of a loaded handgun, when it's clearly advertised to be a quick access handgun safe - liability reasons I suppose.I don't normally submit product reviews, but I'm well pleased with my purchase of this small but heavy, well engineered gun safe. You get what you pay for, and I have no problem recommending this BBRKIIN drawer safe.

After taking measurements of the cubby in our current nightstands this fit perfectly. As I was only gauging my safe buying decision based on measurements I wasn't expecting a safe as well built as I received. Instructions were easily understood. You can have between a 4 digit and 6 digit code comprised of the numbers 1-4. I don’t know about battery life because I haven’t had it long enough to determine that, but I like the fact that it gives a reading on the front telling the remaining battery life, which I really like.Storage space is sufficient enough for 2 hand guns and clips. It seems like nice quality. Opens easily but not quite far enough out, so you have to pull it out more. Which isn’t a problem but you will want to anchor it down so it doesn’t slide around on you when pulling it out. It’s heavy, but will still slide around more easily then you think. It has a metal plate which is perfect for that. The light inside helps because I keep it at just high enough that I need to stretch a little to reach my gun and being able to see it makes retrieving it simple.

This safe works very well for my 9mm pistol, ammo, and two 2 mags. The safe is made for keeping your weapon hard to reach. The material is metal. There are 3 ways to unlock the safe, finger/thumb scan, a keypad and a set of keys (which are kept seperate.) My safe is down low by my bed so I did my finger and then my thumb print upside down, that way, I can open the safe from my bed. With everything in the safe, it is very heavy, your not going to have an easy time taking it. The safe works as discribed. I will buy another one for my living room. I highly recommend for keeping your weapon away from children.
