Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder is amazing! I’ve been using it daily, and I can already feel the difference—my skin feels more hydrated, my hair and nails look healthier, and my joints feel supported. It mixes easily into coffee, smoothies, or even water without altering the taste, which makes it super convenient. I love that it’s grass-fed, high-quality, and free from artificial additives. Highly recommend this collagen powder for anyone looking to support overall wellness and beauty from within!

Pros: no smell Cons: don't like the taste, i guess I'm sensitive to taste and smells but i can pick up a taste and i don't know if I'll be able to finish the whole container. It has a smell-taste. Have you ever sanded or ground down bone? Like deer antler or cow hoof? That burnt smell that the keratin puts off? That's what it tastes like. Like I'm drinking powdered ground-up antlers 🫎. My husband makes knives and uses horns and antlers for the handles and when he's sanding and grinding the handle down to smooth it off, this is what I smell in his shop. Unfortunately, this is also what i taste when i drink the powder. I have tried mixing it in with my smoothies to hide the taste but the first time I did this, it turned a 32 oz smoothie into a 72 oz+ smoothie. It Made the smoothie very frothy, voluminous, and it took me a long time to drink because there was so much of it but there was no taste. The second time, i mixed it in with my smoothie I put a scoop of the powder in my smoothie after I had already mixed it. This time it coagulated the powder. It didn't have a taste because it was in the smoothie, but every so often it felt like I was eating clumps of boogers and that made it hard to suppress my gag reflex. Another time I mixed it with a soft drink. I put a scoop in a glass and then I poured the soft drink in the glass and it bubbled over, kind of like when you mix baking soda and vinegar to make a volcano. It was a frothy, bubbly, 7th grade science experiment gone wrong. I went ahead and drank it after cleaning up the counter and cabinets but that also coagulated the powder and i was back to square 1 with boogers in my drink. My only option at this point is to mix it with the least amount of water suggested (8 oz) and just shotgun the drink after I mix it so that I don't have to taste the powdered antlers. I am determined to finish it to see what results I get and because i paid for it but it definitely does have a taste. At this point, i haven't seen any noticeable improvements in my hair, skin or nails after about 3 weeks on the powder. Will update if that changes. Update: delivered Mar 20, today is May 2, I've been taking 1-2 scoops nearly every day since it was delivered give or take 1-3 days where i forgot, so far, I've only noticed stronger nails. I used to have strong nails but, of course, with age that changed. Last few years I've had gel put on my nails and my nails are always so weak and soft after just one gel manicure that I usually don't do them again for a month or so. I've noticed that this time around my nails were so strong after taking the gel off. I also do my nails at home, i know gel manis aren't the best for your nails but i don't buff my nails as hard and the products i use aren't commercial so they don't last as long. Anyway, that is one noticeable improvement, my nails actually have a lot of length to them and they are so strong. It doesn't take long for my nails to grow but i would always cut them down bc i knew that they are softer and would just bend and break and then i just cut them all the same length bc i don't like having different length nails. Another thing that i learned is that the product doesn't clump and congeal if i mix it with room temperature tap water. I was getting my water from the fridge and it is cold and that may have been causing the gross collagen boogers after mixing it. I'm fact, the directions say to mix with tap water or room temperature water or something to that effect. I don't remember reading that the first time so i tried it about 1 week ago and i haven't had to chew any collagen boogers since. So that is my review after one solid month and a half of taking this brand. I will be trying another brand with more collagen types in it (Beyond Collagen with biotin) just to expand my horizons and to see if i notice any changes in my hair or skin with a different brand. Also, i DO NOT recommend the vanilla-flavored collagen, that is such a disgusting, artificial taste that it leaves that i would rather stick with the ground antlers tastes. I threw the whole vanilla container out because it tasted so gross.

I’ve been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides for my hair and nails, and I can truly see a difference. My nails grow faster and stronger, and my hair feels healthier with less breakage. I love that it’s unflavored and dissolves quickly in both hot and cold drinks — no clumps, no weird taste, no chalky texture. It’s also gluten-free, dairy-free, Whole30, Paleo, and made from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine collagen, so it fits into pretty much any wellness routine. The best part? You can sneak it into almost anything. Here are some easy collagen recipes you can include right in your review to give shoppers extra value: ☕️ 1. Collagen Coffee (The Easiest Morning Routine Boost) • 1–2 scoops Vital Proteins • Hot coffee of your choice • Optional: splash of creamer, cinnamon, or honey Stir until dissolved. You won’t taste a thing — but your hair and nails will thank you. 🍓 2. Berry Glow Smoothie • 1 scoop Vital Proteins • 1 cup frozen berries • ½ banana • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk) • 1 tbsp chia seeds Blend until smooth. Thick, satisfying, and packed with hair-healthy nutrients. 🍫 3. Chocolate Collagen Protein Oats • ½ cup oats • 1 scoop collagen • 1 tbsp cocoa powder • 1 cup water or milk • Optional: peanut butter, berries, honey Mix oats + liquid + cocoa. Heat, then stir in collagen last so it dissolves smoothly. 🍋 4. Collagen Lemon Water (Afternoon Refresh) • 1 scoop Vital Proteins • 12 oz cold water • Juice of ½ lemon • Ice Shake or stir. It’s refreshing and light — perfect when you don’t want a full snack. 🥣 5. Collagen Yogurt Bowl • 1 scoop collagen • 1 cup Greek yogurt • Honey drizzle • Berries, granola, or nuts Mix the collagen right into the yogurt. Zero taste, extra protein, easy win. 🍑 6. Peaches & Cream Overnight Oats • ½ cup oats • ½ cup almond milk • ¼ cup vanilla yogurt • 1 scoop collagen • Diced peaches Stir and refrigerate overnight. The collagen dissolves perfectly. 🍨 7. Healthy Ice Cream Hack • 1 scoop collagen • 1 cup frozen banana slices • Dash of milk Blend into soft-serve. Add cocoa, berries, peanut butter — whatever you love. 🥛 8. Creamy Collagen Hot Cocoa • 1 packet hot cocoa mix (or homemade) • Hot milk/water • 1 scoop collagen Stir collagen in last. Rich, cozy, extra nourishing.

Product is great and I’ll continue to order. Mixabilty is good enough with at least half cup of liquid and taste is acceptable to me. What most impressed me is after a month my finger nails have stopped splitting which has been a problem for sometime. However opening the container is like breaking into Ft Knox. I had to use a pair of pliers to pull the lid tab back and it still left some scrapes (peel the lids inner edges up before pulling). Below that is a 2nd covering that’s more easily removed. At that point you can pull the top off although it still has a connecting tab to the rest of the container. DONT try and cut outside the lid with a knife or scissors.
