Treat Ringer Horseshoe

Tricky
Our golden doodle puppy had a hard time at first figuring it out. A couple weeks later she was able to get it.

My dog loves it
My dog loves these starmark puzzle toys. I also have the light bulb and bento ball. At first kept her busy for a good amount of time but now that she's figured them out she gets them off and eaten within a few minutes. She will sometimes play with them without the treat rings. Very durable for strong chewers. The horseshoe shaped one is quite large and heavy if you have a small dog. The light bulb one is much smaller. I have a large dog and both are great size for her.

Hours of entertainment
My dog has been chewing on this for hours. He loves these types of treat puzzles and he’s normally really quick at solving them but this one has really stumped him. Definitely more on the advance side. But he loves it and keeps him super entertained.

My dogs love these "treat-machines"
The first time I loaded one up for my dogs (each dog has their own), it kept them busy for several hours. However, they all pretty quickly figured out how to either get the ring off or how to bite into it to break it up. Still keeps them busy for a while, just not as long as the first time. They love it when I pull out their Ringer. This specific horseshoe is a bit bigger than I realized, thus heavier. My dogs can pick it up but the bone-shaped Ringer is actually more their size (I have two Aussies and 6 Portuguese Water Dogs). I have noticed, though, that as more teeth marks show up on the post the rings go on, the longer it takes for them to get the ring off. That's simply because the ring doesn't scoot down the post to the opening as easily. That's not a complaint, I like that the teeth marks are making the rings more secure. Only reason I am giving it a 4-star instead of a 5-star is because of the cost. I have a lot of dogs and even though I limit each Ringer with 4 rings max, it still adds up quickly. I also only give these to the dogs when I need them to be occupied for an extended period of time. It's not an everyday treat.

Works for all sizes and ages
This is such a cleverly designed toy that somehow provides great stimulation for all 3 of my dogs. I got one as a gift, bought a second one, and today my 14 yr old senior showed an interest in it so I’ll be buying a 3rd. The size somehow works for my 39lb cattle dog, little old 15lb terrier, and my big 80lb pit mix. The plastic is tough enough (so far) to withstand my big power chewer, and the high sides and curved design seem to make it tough for him to get the solid bite he would need to break the plastic. This toy also somehow works for my senior with almost no teeth who is happy to lick the treats to death - she doesn’t enjoy many toys anymore so I was surprised she enjoyed this so much.Definitely supervise your dogs with this though since the treats can be a choking hazard.

great toy for chewers!
Wentworth really loves this one and it stands up to his abuse. Took him a little while to figure out the trick but now he's a pro. This toy is more sturdy than most and the chewable rings are small enough to be a good healthy snack.

Great idea but my pup figured it out pretty fast
I really like to get puzzle type toys for my 1.5 year old medium sized mixed puppy. She's just too smart. It only took her about 30 minutes to get 8 treat tings off the toy. Now when we give it to her, we only put a couple treats on it because she gets them off in minutes. She's pretty smart and has great problem solving skills. Lol.

Tough for my pupper to solve...
I also have the circle version of this toy, which my dog sussed out very quickly. This took numerous tries and still takes her a long time to get the treat from, however, the sides are much thicker than the other shape, and she chew and chew on it. The sides are now very sharp, so I hesitate to put rings in it.
