Beats the heck out of making these completely by hand.
I borrowed a similar tool from my neighbor last year for making holiday cookies. I loved how easy hers was to use so I bought this set for myself. These tools work just great and are so much easier to use than my fingers! My nails were constantly poking holes in those tiny little cups - this tool eliminates that. I noticed that some people complained about their dough sticking to the wooden tamper so I kept a small container of flour nearby and lightly floured this tool if things got a little sticky - problem solved. This is a “must have” for bakers and a good value for the price.

Missing a Piece
I'm sure that product is good I just got it today, it was suppose to be a 3 piece Wooden tart tamper set. but I only got 2 in the package the small one was missing. So probably returning set, unless they can send me the small tart tamper. Regina Miller

Just the tool I needed
The smallest tapered end fits perfectly in my mini tart tin. I love making tarts for special occasions, but hated trying to put the crust dough evenly in the little tin compartments. I happened on this set and it has solved my issue. It took a little practice, but before getting half way through the 24 compartment pan, I had the technique working. I used mineral oil to treat the tools a day prior to using them. I dampened the working end with water, and tried sugar to press the dough. Sugar just good up. Don't use sugar, use regular flour, or what you used in the dough. Take a pinch of dough, drop it into the tin, then use the plain end of the tool to push the dough down evenly and up to the sides of the compartment. It should fill the tin about half way. Flour the tapered end (I had a tiny bowl of flour at the ready), and center the tool in the tin and press gently down until the dough is up to the top of the compartment. If necessary, turn the tool a little to release it. Check to see there is a bottom, and no holes. If there are, you can patch them with a little bit of dough. After practice, you will get great results!

Toys not Tools
Looks great on catalog page, disappointing in real life. These forms (not molds) are only 6" overall, they are like toys, thus difficult to use.Simply turned on untreated wood, they seem safe enough.Sized for the smallest of hands.
