Noisy Farm: My First Sound Book

I wish I could give this book like 4.5 stars. Yes, the buttons are difficult for a 1 year old to push. I always have to help my 16 month old. First they are hard to find because the touch and feel area is larger than the button itself and then you do have to push down hard. But my daughter loves this book just the same! We have read this book so many times in the last 9 months or so. At first I pushed all the buttons. Now, she will point to it and I will help her to push the buttons. I will say it wasn’t until recently that she started asking me to read it to her and so while I originally thought I wouldn’t be buying more of these books, now I am considering it. What I like about it: -realistic photographs of animals -realistic quality animal sounds - lots of pictures per page showing different angles and animals doing different things like jumping or running or eating -sturdy pages -touch and feel for every animal -short paragraphs to read which use simple sentences to teach about the animals.

Almost 5 years later and I just now stopped making noises, I haven’t changed the battery yet, but was shocked by how long the old one lasted, very durable, realistic noise, one of our favorite books!

The back of the book says it's for ages 3 & up, but my 8-month old absolutely loves this book already. I like how the pictures aren't cartoonish drawings, but real pictures of animals, and the sounds are life-like. Yet, the book is still really cute and fun! The textures of each animal are all nice and different from each other too. The cow has soft black fur that you push to hear it "Mooooooo," the lamb has a wooly coat that you push to hear it "Baaaaaa," etc. We also have the "Noisy Trucks" version of these books and love that one too! These are books that my baby will enjoy for years, and they're educational as well. I just wish they made more of these types of books.

YAY! What a fun, interactive book for you and baby/toddler! The pictures are fantastic, the animal sounds are accurate and adorable, and the quality is excellent, including a nice binding that does not tear away from the pages. Don’t second guess, just buy, buy, buy!

A bright colorful book with real images! I really like that it shows you each animal/sound and then on the final page, you can see all the animals in the book together and hear all their different sounds with one push. The little kids that I work with are excited to name the animals, touch them, hear the different animal sounds, and turn the pages to find more animals. Unfortunately all the inner pages are very thin and I am afraid they won't last as long as those of a traditional board book. The kids also frequently attempt to turn 2 to 4 pages at once because the pages are so thin. The final page, in comparison, is VERY fat and all my young clients are confused by this, and always try and turn more pages when the book is actually finished. The buttons in this book are hard to push in comparison to other books with sound that I have. My younger clients (2-3 yrs) need some assistance with pushing the buttons and finding the exact spot to push to yield a sound. Some kids get frustrated when they can't find the exact spot and just want to put the book away. For kids with really small hands who are motivated, it helps to have them push with a thumb instead of a pointer finger. Despite the thin pages and tricky buttons, my clients do really enjoy this book and are excited when they see it, so I think the book is worth it overall.

This is her 2nd book. She loves sitting in my lap and holding the book open like a hymnal singing to Mrs Rachels”Old McDonald had a farm”. She loves mocking the sounds each animal makes in the book and being able to see and feel each animal. The colors are bright and the book is well made however It got torn moving around with it so much from bedroom, car, playroom etc. It was a daily routine with this book. I had to order a new one.

My 13 month old is obsessed with this book. He’s constantly playing with it alone (just flipping pages and feeling the textures, can’t press the buttons yet) it really keeps his attention!! and he’s always bringing it to me to read to him. He learned that cows say moo and lambs say baa from this book after 1 week! He moos when he wants me to read it. It’s adorable! Hs learned his first animal sounds thanks to this book. Can’t wait to buy the others.

We got this book for our baby shower first. At first my son was TERRIFIED of the cow noise. After some time and use, it became my sons favorite book. After MUCH use, the wires came out and I had to get rid of it (cue screams and tears of seeing his favorite book go in the trash). Ordered another TWO, just to be safe haha. Will always make sure to have an extra of this book because he loves it so much. Loud noises, great quality.

Vale muito muito à pena, tem fotos dos bichos e o som é super legal, além de ter uma textura por página!

Tiene buenos acabados y buen material los sonidos con reales, los botones para pulsar tienen una textura y en la contrapagina tiene la descripción de cada animalito. Es pesado y mi hija tiene 9 meses así que yo lo sostengo y ella cambia las páginas! Las hojas son de cartón firme. La última hoja al presionar hace los sonidos de todos los animales. La calidad excede el precio que pagas por el producto. Excelentes acabados. Los botones están escalados, así que al pulsar uno, los de las páginas siguientes no se activarán. Si eres detallista como yo, el cuidado que han puesto al diseñar las posiciones de los. Botones te va a encantar. Considero que el botón es un poco duro para niños pequeños

My granddaughter loves it, she learned to use it quickly, pictures are great and sounds are real. Another book I would recommend by same author is I love classical music. We hear barnyard sounds and classical music from the play pen with equal frequency. She loves them both, they promote independent play.
