Piper L4- Cub 1944 Model Aircraft Kit 1/48 Atlantis Toy and Hobby

The kit arrived in three days. It has serious issues. Overall detail is okay, interior has basic seats and instrument panel. Engine is simple but adequate. Molded in very light gray, off-white plastic.The issues.....Most severe is the one missing horizontal tail. The parts trees are sealed in the bag, no holes. So the part was lost before bagging by the manufacturer. I can scratchbuild the lost part using the remaining part as a pattern on sheet plastic.Second issue is both lower wings are missing material on the outer trailing edges, incomplete molding. Once the wing halves are assembled I can use putty to replace the lost plastic. I cannot recommend this kit for inexperienced modelers, unless using it to build their scratchbuilding skills.Color scheme diagrams and decals for two planes - one in 1942 serving in North Africa, and one in 1944 during the Invasion of Normandy. The decals look good, including the invasion stripes.Experienced modelers will want to add detail to this kit. Once finished, it should look good. Even in 1/48 scale it is a small kit.
