Great Neutral Palette
The media could not be loaded. Now that I have had the opportunity to use all of the shades in this palette, I have some thoughts. I absolutely love makeup, especially eyeshadow. I have a lot of eyeshadow palettes and love to create looks with them. This palette is beautiful. It is a basic color story that would work as a daily palette or a nice travel palette. The two brown shades are a nice deep cooler toned brown and the lighter brown is a gray based cool toned brown. I love cool tones and these two are stunning. There is a light shade that is basically a blending and lid shade for me, it doesn't show up on my fair skin so it is perfect for blending out my looks and setting the lid before applying the eyeshadow. The matte shades in this palette are beautiful, they are a dryer formula but that doesn't mean the quality is bad, the quality is quite lovely in these matte shades and they apply beautifully. You can build them up or keep them lighter, but the deeper brown is pretty pigmented so a little goes a long way, the other light brown is a buildable formula perfect for beginners or people like me who have a lot of experience. They blend nicely and look smooth and beautiful. The shimmers in this palette are highly pigmented, but they are a subtle shimmer. These aren't shimmers that will shine and shimmer a lot but they quality of them is very nice, so if you're looking for a daily palette with subtle shimmer shades and blending perfection then this is a great palette. The packaging is nice also, the mirror is great and there is a nice weight to the palette, it feels like an expensive palette with the weight.Overall, I am very pleased with this eyeshadow palette. The matte shades are beautiful and blend perfectly, the shimmers are subtle but don't lack in pigment. I personally prefer sparkly shimmers, however, these looked nice and performed nice with the benefit of lasting throughout my day.

Eye Colors
The media could not be loaded. It looks and feels like any other eyeshadow. It did not burn or itch or irritate my eyes at all. It did not come with an eyeshadow brush. The only reason for the 3 star rating is the cost. It is much higher than the value of the product.

Not the color story I was expecting…
I thought the “crease” and “contour” shades were going to be a light and dark mauve based on the listing images. They’re actually just a light and dark brown. They are fine colors, but not as advertised. As far as formula goes, the shadows are all smooth and pigmented. Easy to apply and blend. I had no issues with this palette whatsoever. I just wish it had those two mauve shades in it because that was what drew me to the color story to begin with.

Neutral with Some Punch!
I really love this neutral palette. I wear neutral eye shadow but occasionally I add a splash of color to the outside corners. The burnt orange color (listed as the Pop color) is a color that I wouldn't have tried if it weren't included in this palette but I was surprised by how much I like it. It is one of the two colors in the set that has a shimmer, with the other being golden (Crease). The other colors are matte; the lightest color in this set is a light skin tone (Contour). The palette is rounded out with a light brown with mild mauve undertones (Highlight) and a dark brown with a hint of mauve (Base). I found each of the colors to be long lasting and crease resistant. More importantly, this eye shadow does not cause any irritation to my eyes, like I can get with less expensive brands. I am very pleased with this!

Beautifully packaged - wish the shade names were on the front
My wife was impressed with this 5 shades eyeshadow palette. Nicely packaged and small to carry in your purse.I am an newbie to woman’s makeup but my wife did state that the palette colors are sometimes not names along the normal color hues that we all grew up. Instead, the palette colors are based on creating a personality using shades. This set’s five shads are named “Base”, “Highlight”, “Pop”, “Crease”, and “Contour”.My wife says she can definitely work with the shades provided and can mix the shades on the top of her hand before applying on her eyelids.Nice package – 4 stars

Darker than pictured
I'll start with saying that the pallet is a good bit darker than the photos of the pallet would lead you to believe. The last two browns are very dark. They pallet comes nicely packaged and I like the case and mirror. The case smudges and looks dirty really easily, though. Just touching it leaves prints and makes it look dirty. The pallet is also just drugstore brand quality. I own low-end and high-end makeup, and this is definitely comparable to the lower end cosmetics. I received this item through the vine program, but I definitely would have been disappointed had I paid what they're asking for this pallet. It's okay, but you could buy a few pallets of equal quality for this price point.

Neutral Palette Works with Fair Skin
The first thing I noticed right upon opening is that the colors advertised aren’t what is actually in the pallet. I expected it to be more mauve and plum shade but it definitely was brown. The browns work fine for me since I am fair skinned with red hair and blue eyes but they aren’t my first color choice and the orange shade is definitely a no go for me. I made myself up for a dinner date with my husband, who normally notices since I don’t wear a lot of eye shadow, but he didn’t comment on it despite being very complimentary about my hair and outfit. I like that the product isn’t tested on animals but gluten free and vegan seem to be buzz words used to attract a younger generation. I’m not so sure I would be willing to pay department store prices when some of the colors would just go to waste.
