I picked this up ahead of a trip where I want to leave my big camera at home and just use my S23 Ultra. This is one of the best investments I've made for my smartphone. I picked up the filters and the Freewell phone case for this combo. The overall size is super small yet the functionality is superb! Highly recommended if you're looking to up your smartphone capture and creative game.

I appreciate having this product. Here are my thoughts on it.Pros:- It’s very compact and sturdy, well-built for multiple purposes.- It still amazes me that it has great remote Bluetooth connectivity.Cons:- Despite its small form factor, it’s too small for my hand to have a good grip. I have trouble pressing the Bluetooth shutter button because it’s just too tinny and uncomfortable.- If you’re not careful when pulling the phone holder while inserting your phone, you’ll likely hurt your finger. I found a way around it, but it’s still not what I expected for such a price.Overall, this gadget would be great for beginners who want a close-to-real camera experience. However, if you have the latest iPhone 16 or 16 Pro Max, I wouldn’t recommend it because the new camera shutter button is already good enough.

The button unit broke on first use and although Freewell shipped a replacement it never arrived. I found their customer service not so friendly leaving me with a broken unit and no solution to use the product.Not likely to buy any more gear from Freewell unless they really fix their customer service and product quality.

The idea behind this product is very good indeed and if the build and execution matched it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately there are several problems.Firstly the spring mechanism to insert the phone is very stiff and grinds and when taking it back out you can easily nip a finger when the mechanism shuts. Secondly, the lips that should stop the phone coming out are just soft spongy plastic which makes it easy to twist the phone out. Thirdly, the selfie stick feels flimsy and twists.The only good thing is the bluetooth shutter button which works very well and is very versatile.To be honest, this feels more like a £20 product than £80 and even at that price I would consider sending it back.

Update, Fall 2024: I upgraded this from 4 to 5 stars for a few different reasons.The first one is that the remote is flawless. It always works and it's easy to keep with the grip.The other thing, and probably the most important, is the fact that this really *is* a professional piece of equipment. Although I didn't like the price in my first review, I am eating a huge slice of humble pie as I say that it is worth it. This is very easy to use on tripods, the extension rod does not bend (like at all), and it just feels solid, sturdy, and well engineered. All of the other grips that I had that I got for so much less money can't hold up to this item. So yeah. I really like it and it has proven to be worth it five stars I just gave it.Mea culpa.Original: Because of plans I have in the near future to use my iPhone more for photography, I have invested in the Freewell Sherpa system. I've purchased a few filters which are amazing, the case for my 14 Pro Max, and finally, I bought this.It *feels* like a camera when it's on the phone and handles great. The selfie stick part is also surprisingly well made, and the bluetooth shutter is a nice bonus. Even though it's used only on the Freewell cover, it does feel a little tight and not very easy to install. YMMV depending on the strength of your hands and your cussing abilities. The one advantage that this one has that the others don't is that it fully collapses and "becomes one with the camera," which the others don't.My only real beef is that $79 seems a little dear for what it is. I have a couple of selfie stick tripods with a similar bluetooth shutter and they all cost under $30. I think if Freewell knocked of about $10/20 on this item, it would be far more worth it. The only reason I think that knocking off a small amount instead of making it the same price as the others is because it collapses so completely, and I respect the engineering.

Imprescindible si quieres sujetar tu móvil como si se tratara de una camara, es facil de instalar y muy versatil, sirve de apoyo tiene tripode y mado a distancia.Todo un acierto, va conmigo a todas partes
