I guess it's a common thing for the starter on these Hondas to not fail outright, but kinda not want to crank once they've warmed up and you're trying to get home from the grocery store parking lot. I thought it was the battery, and the local auto store was happy to tell me the battery was bad and sell me a new one, but it didn't help. This was not an easy job on my Element, I ended up going down from above and up from below with tools. It's buried underneath the intake manifold, I just couldn't manage to get it loose without removing it. Probably could have done it in one day if I hadn't had to wait on a manifold gasket. But that's not the fault of the starter, it is a perfect match for the original. Works great. Saved several hundred dollars doing it myself, even with the battery. Got pretty bruised up because I'm so old and frail but I healed.

Seems like a good product and it arrived in good time.

2004 Acura tsx starts up much faster than it used to and much more reliable. Had it sitting for 2 weeks after install and it started right up. Understandably this only spins the flywheel, and more reliant on the battery, but it most definitely makes a difference. Recommended at least on my behalf.
