I just love Percy the park keeper and his adventures. These are timeless classics with beautiful illustrations and a lovely flowing text. It gives you great scope for story time sessions as you can introduce nature, animals and even a treasure hunt! Suitable for 3+ and loved by boys and girls. This one comes with a lovely fold out picture of the animals plus a little treasure hunt along the way. Will keep a look out for other titles in the series but they are hard to get as they are so popular! Well worth the money.

Nick Butterworth is a great storyteller and illustrator. Percy the Park Keeper is a gentle, lovable hero that my 3 year-old son can't get enough of. This story is typical of the rest of the series in having a sweet group of annimal friends have a small adventure with Percy. This in itself would be enough to recommend the book. However, we were inspired by the treasure hunt within the story. Percy draws pictures of the locations of the clues as his animal friends can't read. We created a visual treasure hunt for our son that has expanded over several months to have over 20 clues to chose from. He loves it. The experience is enhanced by reading this story at bedtime on a day when we have had a treasure hunt. How many books actually make you go out and do something different in the real world?

Bought for our Granddaughter for her birthday. She loves animals and enjoyed looking for the treasure. We remember the Percy the park keeper stories when our youngest was small.

Read these to my two boys. Now reading them to my granddaughter! They are a must for first time bedtime stories. Still as fresh today as they were when I first used them - wish I hadn't given my first set away 24 years ago!

Histoire simple, parfaite pour les petits, même si l'enfant doit avoir un minimum de connaissances en anglais. Belles illustrations. Mon fils aime beaucoup Percy. J'adore particulièrement One Snowy Night, qui peut être acheté avec le CD. Cette histoire raconte une chasse au trésor, organisée par Percy pour ses animaux les animaux du parc. Il laisse des indices visuels ici et là, tout en mangeant sans même s'en rendre compte le précieux trésor (des pièces en chocolat). Heureusement les animaux se découvrent un nouvel ami qui, d'après Percy, vaut bien un trésor. A la fin de l'histoire, l'enfant est invité à rechercher dans les illustrations du livre 3 pièces égarées par Percy.

Super cute book and story, perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter.

Con mio figlio li stiamo collezionando tutti, alcuni acquistati nei viaggi in Inghilterra, altri su amazon. L'edizione è la medesima e anche il prezzo non subisce variazioni. Sono libri bellissimi, con storie semplici ma che sanno strappare un sorriso e che non ci stanchiamo di rileggere. Mio figlio è in terza elementare e mi chiede spesso di leggerglieli la sera. Sicuramente per un madrelingua sono adatte a bimbi piccoli, per mio figlio che studia inglese da quando era all'asilo vanno più che bene, ma ci sono molti termini che devo spiegargli perché più difficili di quelli imparati ai corsi. Di sicuro servono a fare vocabolario.
