Nice piece of kit with old school âproperâ keyboard feel
Nice piece of kit with old school âproperâ keyboard feel. Not compatible with Ipad2 - a failing of the iPad not the keyboard, but not stated in the description - hence 4 stars. Tested and works fine with an IPad Air and above though.

Well made but badly flawed....and does NOT use Cherry switches
It's nicely made...a good solid piece of kit.The quality and feel of the keys are everything you would expect from a good quality mechanical keyboard. But, it misses keystrokes all the time.....making it useless for any serious work or gaming. Most frequently it misses they first keystroke after the keyboard has been 'sleeping' for jsut a few minutes.....but it misses random strokes also.I've tried fresh batteries and the keyboard is only a few centimeters from the 2.4Ghz dongle. Other cheap wireless keyboard work fine and the same problem is evident on the BT connection. Also, the title is very misleading as this keyboard uses a Chinese switch (Kaihong) and NOT Cherry Blue switches as stated. They seem reasonably good quality so far but don't think you are getting Cherry switches at this price!

Visibility issues
I was looking for a backlit wireless keyboard that had both mechanical keys and RF rather than just Bluetooth, because the current Mac OS won't let you make Bluetooth undiscoverable. (I'm plagued by other devices within range trying to connect.) That's a relatively unusual combination of features, so when this keyboard seemed to tick all the boxes, I had high hopes of its performance.Alas, I ended up returning it because of some fundamental design issues. The key legibility is poor. The font used is almost stencil style, not the standard keyboard font, and inevitably it's low contrast because the letters are translucent. (You can see it in the photos on the product page, but it looks much clearer there than it does in the flesh.) I hoped the backlight would improve the contrast, but not only was the light very dim, it also switched off every time I paused for a few seconds. I swapped batteries just in case, but it didn't make any difference. The light doesn't seem to be adjustable: if it is, I couldn't find a way of doing it. As no other review has mentioned this, I wonder if I simply received a faulty one. But you shouldn't need to rely on a backlight to make keys easy to read anyway. On top of that, the arrow keys are operated with the Fn key which is right next to them, and that makes the manoeuvre very awkward. You need a bit of separation to use both hands comfortably. It's a real shame, because otherwise it's a great keyboard. It's a solid build, it works fine with a Mac, it's comfortable to use (with the exception mentioned above) and the mechanical keys feel as good as the ones on a keyboard that I paid ÂŁ150 for. It's also dual mode. If the key legibility was better and the Fn key had been in another position, it would have been ideal at any price. But the legibility issue made it a struggle to use.

High quality keyboard that works in 2.4G and Bluetooth mode.
Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Dual Mode 2.4G&Bluetooth Multi-device Keyboard for Computers Tablets Smartphones Gaming / Industrial / Office LED Backlit by Bastron MK75+(Black) Green Switch I bought this keyboard for use with my nVidia Shield box (which has Bluetooth built-in).Upon unpacking it, the following were its contents:1 x Instruction Leaflet1 x Cleaning Brush1 x 2.4G Wireless Adapter1 x Keyboard1 x ScrewdriverThe keyboard did not come with any batteries and it took 4 x AA batteries which slotted into the back of the keyboard behind a flap which was held in place by a single philips-head screw (thankfully they included a screwdriver to undo the flap). Now onto the construction of keyboard. It felt reasonably heavy (it was heavier than my old full sized Logitech keyboard) and was made from very hard ABS plastic which oozed quality. At the top was a small recessed area for putting a tablet/mobile screen into - it appears it was designed for use with mobile devices principally in mind. The buttons felt really good when pushed and made a nice âclickingâ sound every time the mechanical keys made contact (if your old school youâll appreciate typing on these cherry type mechanical switches). There were several distinct small round buttons on top and on the left hand side labelled â1 / 2 / 3â were for selecting the frequency or wireless mode, with button â2â being reserved for connecting to the included 2.4G wireless dongle. Buttons â1â and â3â were for connecting in Bluetooth mode (often built into devices) and didnât need the dongle plugged in. The other two buttons were for toggling the keyboardâs backlights and for showing which channel mode was selected.Overall I really liked this keyboard, its construction and quality were superb. The Bluetooth connection was really good and it connected fine with my Shield which was 12 feet away. The 2.4G connection was a little picky though but no more picky than what my Logitech keyboard is. I really loved the backlights which was handy for typing in the dark for when I had my projector on. One negative was that the keyboard was in the âUSâ layout which meant the â@â symbol wasnât above the number â2â key. With all that said, this is a quality product and one that I can recommend. Thanks for taking the time to read my review. Ive included various pictures.
