Great ink and a really lovely colour. No idea if it is water proof, but it definately is if you get it on your hands, it's very hard to wash off so be careful!Recommended.

Bought as a present, lovely ink, great colour

I enjoy writing with a fountain pen, I find it gives the experience of writing a certain increased attention to detail, both in the act and the thoughts I record. The choice of ink shade is an enjoyable part, Jacques Herbin is an excellent brand and this ink is of the usual quality and so increases the pleasure in writing.The key points being it flows well when writing, but is not overly wet, the shade is distinctive as it is a quite light purple to my eyes and it does not show significant fade. I would and have recommended it, as I have used it before and will again in the future.

Great ink, great colour and great value for money

Lovely colour, good wetness, smooth writing. Surprising how a good ink make make all the difference.

Very nice but rather duller than I expected. It writes well. Arrives in a ni Ely shaped bottle in a nice little printed box.

I got this as a present because purple is their favourite colour and found it to be a very nice purple/violet colour and works well in the pen I gave her. So it's a good ink that flows well but I gave it 4 stars as its not a very big bottle so you don't get a lot of ink for what it costs!

It's not the most fabulous colour, and it's very blunt. It does not offer much shading, and it's not very pleasant to look at. I have several other sepias that have much more character than this. I.e. diamine or noodlers golden brown.
