50 Pieces Flux Core Aluminum Rods Low Temperature Easy Melt Aluminum Welding Rods Welding Sticks

When welding/brazing aluminum, there is a small temperature range this works in. Up to 1/16th inch, propane will work but takes time. 1/8 inch takes MAPP gas to work well. But these worked exactly as described and worked great for my project!

I am a certified welder with years of experience, bought this for a small job joining an inner sleeve to an aluminum bulkhead. Anyway, all steps were taken for a successful joining, yet this product did absolutely nothing but ball up under temp. Flux would burn off and it would create nice little clumps of rod material but would not stick - to anything.I tried it on several grades of aluminum, with a variety of tactics and could not make it work on any of them!Total waste of $$

Works well when you get it right. A few things to consider when using them,•make sure your base metal is clean, sand any oxidation off where you're trying to braze.• don't get impatient it needs to be very hot to flow properly, it also won't flow right if you get it too hot• depending on metal thickness a propane/map torch might not enough you may need an oxy/map torch to get it hot enough• once you get it upto temp don't turn the flame off just move it slightly out of your work path so it's still putting heat into the piece. Aluminum cools off very fast if you take the heat away it'll get below its brazing temperature before it has a chance to flow properly.• don't put the stick/rod in the flame itself apply it like you would solder

Didn’t work too good for me turned to a paste when heated could not get to work well with low heat

these are not low temp rods. i bought for soldering cans and the cans melt before the solder
