Amazing coffee
My husband and I went to Mountain thunder on our honeymoon in Hawai'i almost 6 years ago and loved it! I had to gift him some beans as he is a huge coffee enthusiast and somewhat of a snob when it comes to high quality beans. He was thrilled - and I got great coffee in bed :)We also have their coffee bag framed as artwork in our living room! Just get the beans, they're great! And if you're ever in the Kona region do stop by and take a tour! I still recommend it to everyone and cannot wait to go back - I need more of their soy candles!

Extremely Great Coffee!
If you are a coffee connoisseur, you'll love this coffee. If you're not but you simply enjoy a cup of coffee, you too will likely find this coffee far more enjoyable than off-the-shelf store coffee. The beans are grown & processed right near Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. If you ever find yourself in Hawaii, you must find an hour to go visit their plantation just south of Kona in the mountains. They offer FREE tours almost hourly, and you'll walk away understanding the many aspects of coffee growing & processing. But you'll also discover the various grades of coffee beans & what really makes a great coffee bean. They have an amazing store & product selection.

EXCELLENT COFFEE
First had this at the plantation in Hawaii. Was excited to see that I could get it on Amazon. This coffee is grown on the Big Island where it is hand-picked and roasted to perfection. I have found it to be less acidic. It is perfect for my automated espresso machine because the beans are not oily.

Kona coffee is quality.
Stick to whole bean varieties. 2nd best one I've tried.

Not worth it unless they fix their roasting
This batch is over roasted and very uneven. There are burnt beans in it as well. I've gotten this twice in the past and both times it was great. This time though, it was very bitter and definitely not Vienna roasted. There's lots of brown but the color is very uneven, and even some black ones there. Not the quality I expect.

Kona coffee, yum!
On our trip to Hawaii 15 years ago, my husband fell in love with Kona coffee and I have been buying it for him ever since. We have tried a few brands over the years and he says Thunder Mountain is so far the best. Smoother and more flavorful than the other ones he tried. All 100% Kona coffee is very pricey but this one I feel is fairly priced. We will continue to buy it.

Good Kona Coffee
I am not a coffee aficionado, but I do like the Kona coffee. Like others I once visited Hawaii and had the chance to taste Kona coffee while there. Back home I discovered the coffee in Hawaii does have a distinctive flavor. It is usually a less bitter taste and reminds me of the volcanic soil it grows from. I think that this coffee has those flavors and the quality is good. I know there are more expensive brands and I think it likely that there are more excellent grades, but for the money I think this is good coffee. I am pleased with what I received.
