Worth every penny
After searching for unscented products that were gentle enough to avoid flair ups as a result of my numerous chemical allergies I finally stumbled across this product. I absolutely love how Magick Botanicals makes my hair feel. My biggest complaint with other brands is that my hair feels/looks just as greasy as it did before I took a shower. This product is reasonably priced and does go a long way.

Not the original Magick Botanicals ingredients and not FF
These Magick Botanical ingredients are not the original ingredients used by the original owner and are fragranced and don't work for me or anyone I know that is sensitive to chemicals. False advertising and I question if this is a legitimate business too - BBB doesn't believe they are in business anymore.HISTORY and BBB info:8/3/20: Mary Lou Long was the original owner of Magick Botanicals (and was told by the man making the FF (Fragrance Free) shampoos and conditioners for her at the time, that she could make them herself and he gave her the ingredients list and she started making them for herself in vats that only were used for Fragrance Free/Pesticide Free ingredients/products only). She lives or lived near the Mexican Border in CA. Last time I talked to her (about 2020ish) she had been looking for someone to buy out her business. Her assistant, Veronica, said Mary Lou retired (sometimes before 8/3/20). I don’t know if she is still alive. Mary Lou’s assistant, Veronica, said that after Mary Lou retired and the building they had originally been in was in a fire and that Veronica had moved the warehouse to a new location (different city). Her Assistant and her crew filled the Magick Botanical orders OK for a while (say a year or so), then started sending watered down (like one drop of soap to a bottle of shampoo – just totally watered down, but still FF) or shipped fragranced products that were nothing like the original ingredients OR they JUST didn’t complete orders and didn’t refund the payments and would no longer answer phone calls about orders they didn’t fill or filled with bad products.Check out Magick Botanicals on the BBB website. They say they do not believe Magick Botanicals are still in Business today.FYI:Magick Botanicals ORIGINAL INGREDIENTS (from old bottles I had before they changed ALL the ingredients – Mary Lou said she listed ALL the ingredients on her bottles so if there was one ingredient a person couldn’t use, they knew not to use). These ingredients worked for most CS (Chemically Sensitive) people:Ingredients in:Magick Botanicals FF (Fragrance Free) Shampoo for Thinning Hair ingredients:Purified waterCocamidopropyl BetaineAlpha Olefin SulfonateCocomide MEAPanthenolBotinCysteineAscsobic AcidNiacinRetinyl PalmitateNucleic AcidsKeratin Amino AcidsMethylparabenPropylparabenAnnatto================Magick Botanicals FF (Fragrance Free) CONDITIONER for Thinning Hair ingredients:Purified waterStearyl AlcoholCetyl AlcoholCetrimide BPPanthenol BiotinCysteineAscorbic AcidNiacinRetinyl PalmitateTocopheryl AcetateNucleic AcidsKaratinMethylparabenPropylparabenAnnattoFragrance Free===================Magick Botanicals OIL FREE/Fragrance Free Shampoo ingredients:Purified WaterAlpha Olefin SulfonateCocomidopropyl BetaineCocomide MEAMethylparbenPropylparben==================Magick Botanicals Oil Free/Fragrance Free Conditioner ingredients:Purified WaterStearyl AlcoholCetyl AlcoholCetrimide BPMethylparabenPropylparabenFragrance Free======================I wish someone would make shampoos and conditioners with these safe ingredients and not mix them in vats that previous had fragranced ingredients mixed in them. That means only make FF (Fragrance Free) products in FF vats. Not in vats that have previously mixed ingredients in them with synthetic fragrances, essential oils (essential oils NEVER go away and the herbals and synthetic fragrances linger – I have to do milk soaks 3 nights in a row and wash in between and afterwards with FF soap/baking soda and vinegar to get synthetic fragrances out of cloth and it takes years for dryer sheets to burn out of a dryer and I’ve never gotten essential oils out of anything), herbals ingredients or pesticides (like herbicides, mildewcides, germicides, etc.). And I wouldn't suggest making them under the Magick Botanicals brand name since it is a "flawed name" now since they have put out inferior products. Not the original ingredients.

Great Scent Free Shampoo
As other reviewers have mentioned, you do have to use more of this shampoo than you would the average shampoo because it is more watery. The reason why other shampoos foam up though is because of the chemicals they put in them to do it so I'm fine that I have to use more and don't have as foamy of an effect with this shampoo. It doesn't bother my allergies like other shampoos have and it makes my hair really soft. All in all, I love it.

Need to use a lot in shoulder length hair.
I have to use a lot of this in my hair, but I've been growing out my hair to donate. This would be less of an issue with shorter hair. It does clean okay once you use enough. The first time I used it, I only used one palm full, and it didn't quite get my hair clean. The next day I used two. I kept using more until I hit four palms full, and suddenly my hair was pretty clean and it actually got the oil mostly out (not to the point of messing up my hair. The next day, I only had to use two palms full to achieve the same effect. Not great, but usable.

oil free frgrance free very watery liquid
It is oil free and fragrance free, it is very watery I washed my hair with it, I had to use quite a bit to do the job.I like the conditioner, I wish they make a product for heat protectant more importantly a frizz control treatment. PLease.

Very watery and leaves a residue
Well, it works ok, I guess. It leaves a residue on my hair. It is also extremely watery. Neither my daughter nor I like it. We greatly prefer Safe Choice, but that one is harder to find. I more than likely won't buy this brand again. At the rate you have to use this because it's so watery, it ends up being more expensive than the $20 bottles of Safe Choice. Not worth it. And if you are chemically sensitive, this does have a bit of a scent to it, unlike Safe Choice.

Does not strip my hair color
It is hard to find a hypoallergenic shampoo that does not strip hair color. I will say I haven't gotten used to the lack of lather in these types of shampoos, though. So what I do is use another shampoo that I can mostly tolerate (but will cause some skin problems if I use it alone). This other shampoo lathers some and also protects my color. After rinsing that out really well, I use this one to essentially rinse out all the residue from the first shampoo. For me, this approach works great since I have to do two sudsings anyway. I feel I can use less of this more expensive product doing this, and I have yet to have any kind of skin reaction this way.

Good stuff, but needs to be thicker
This shampoo works well. Love that it has no smell at all! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is a bit watered down. I really wish the shampoo was thicker. That would make it easier to use. Since it is so runny, it tends to run off of my hands as I try to apply it to my scalp/hair. Makes me have to use more than I should.
