I purchased this having used a model that attached to an electric drill. This functions well and does remove all the kernels with little left on the cob. The only issue I found was that corn cobs do vary in diameter. Early corn might be slightly smaller and the product does leave partial kernels on the cob. Also there may be partial kernels left on the small end of the cob. I did find that reversing the cutter and using the solid end, I could remove the remaining kernels, typically having to be scraped using the old knife cutting method. Turning the product back and forth as you hold the corn seems to work best for me. On most cobs there is no corn left even that required scraping. I found the quality is outstanding. Solid and easy to hold. I am happy!

Wow, I had no idea this is SO easy to use. Stripping a corn is like a hot knife cut through butter. Works on all the corns I have. For the smaller ones, some parts of kennels are still attached to the cob, but you can just re-twisted to take them off. I ordered the 100% metal type since I thought it would be hard and all metal can last longer. But now I think the plastic cover one would work just as fine.Highly recommended.

This tool works great ! My husband is in the process of getting a dental implants which has been going on for 6 months. Now he can have corn I just strip the ear for him and boil or grill the kernels. It is so quick and easy to use , washes up well and doesn't take much storage space

I bought a few different gadgets to try and this was by far the best one. Your hand do get sore and tired so we took turns. Handles would be amazing on this! As you can see we just put nails through a 2x4 and put the corn on it and slide it down. I pulled up the ear to continue to the bottom. Some smaller ears we had to cut some off with a knife. Worked very slick and well pleased!
