This is an excellent compilation of ancient accounts of close encounters and the shattering of planets, which all societies 3000 years ago focused on. The Bible uses similar imagery as the Canaanites when it mentions the shattering of a great planet four times (spelled differently in Hebrew than the woman Rahab). Modern people usually have trouble accepting the accounts of the ancients because we try to understand the universe with linear notions of time and clock-like orbits, instead of accepting that everything is changing, as the ancients did.

Tedious prose, not much substance. Not like Velikovsky at all.
