Spanx Shapewear for Women, Higher Power High-Waisted Everyday Essential Shaping Panties

I've worn Spanx for years. For me these work really well. Once I get into them after a bit of wriggling and giggling, they fit well. I have a short torso so the length comes up to my bra. I tuck the top of the short under my bra and it stays in place all day. They smooth out the muffin top and tummy giving me confidence to wear my summer dresses. I like the material and no seams. Not the prettiest to look at on my body but what shape wear is!! It serves a purpose and under clothes they do exactly as they are meant to. Great for the heat and stop the chub rub on the thighs too. I've tried many other brands in shapewear and always come back to Spanx. I agree with others when putting them on treat them carefully like a sheer pair of tights. For me they are a winner and I have several pairs. They give me more confidence particularly as I age. Great product.

I am 5ft 9 with quite a long torso. The body on these were so long I could pull them up to my shoulders. As they were so long, they kept rolling down. I also didn't feel they had any smoothing effect at all

I've worn lots of shapewear, some uncomfortable, some easy to get on, some impossible to breath in but I've never brought Spanx purely because of the price and now I'm kicking myself for all the money wasted. These are amazing. I brought them to wear under my wedding dress as I have a considerable mum-tum and also wanted to avoid any chub rub (it's fun being me) so I've been looking for a high waisted sort. I hesitated buying these because of the price and the fact that I worried the top would roll down. I tried them on, easy to get on, very soft and comfortable, theres a grip strip at the top but at the back not the front which I found odd at first. They held me in just the right amount, like a big hug. I could, after a few pounds of weight loss, move down a size but for now the XL based on my weight is just right. I didn't take them off after trying them on and wore them for the whole day and loved it. They didn't roll down once, they did get a little uneven at the top but nothing uncomfortable. I felt fantastic in them. I wore them under leggings and a top and although I did breathe out when I took them off I would certainly wear them again for everyday wear. Buying a pair for my mom too. I would have given them 5 stars as I think they should be more affordable.

I'm size 6-8 so probably not as tight as they're supposed to be but boy do these work. Smooth all lumps & bumps out perfectly & make a big difference to my flabby pot belly giving me the confidence to wear several slim fit old favourites I was on the verge of giving to the charity shop again. Comfortable enough to wear all day even when eating out. However, top does roll down making serruptitious adjustments necessary which is a real nuisance when wearing tighter tops. Also need to pull them down to wee although do find this reasonably quick & easy. Despite problems still really love my spanx. By far the best shapewear I tried.

Well, what can I say, I have just taken these out of the packet to try them so I could review them and I have damaged them whilst putting them on. Spanx are a really good make that I have used regularly over the years and this has never happened to me before, so not sure if they have changed how they make them but my thumb nail pierced the fabric as I pulled them on, leaving a hole which will get worse with use. I did not expect this from this product. Now let’s face it ladies, shapewear is not easy to navigate but goodness me for this to happen when I am just trying them for size is really disappointing, hence my 3* rating. However, once on they were comfortable.

This are great as underwear, they give support in all the right places and are simply undetectable. I have a big post baby tum and they actually did hold everything in quite well - felt really great in them. Will certainly recommend to others to buy as they are worth every penny, they are! Update 13/07/13 Above review was after excitedly trying them on for the first time, to see if the size was OK. However, next time i wore them, it was for 7 hrs straight. On taking them off, was mortified to discover a large ladder running from the back end of gusset all the way up the back of these! It is needless to say, that i was utterly and thoroughly gutted! I mean, i only got to wear them properly just the one time! Well i would therefore have to retract my sentiment about them being well worth every penny. Nah nah quite the opposite actually. In present day economic scenario where one watches every hard earned penny spent, a girl certainly wants to purchase products that "Do what it says they do on the box" plus are durable and a class act as well.

When put on they do the trick but they roll down every single time! Such a shame. It has a very thin plastic band at the tip that's not enough to hold it up. Shame.

Really poor quality, arrived in clear plastic wrapping and tags etc stitched poorly. Having bought spanx before really doubt this is the genuine article. Stuck to the size guide and way too small.

First, I have a short torso so this shaper was very long, perhaps I should have purchased a different size or style, it came all the way up to my chest so it made it a little inconvenient and kept rolling down but I think if I had just ordered a regular one instead of a high waist it would've been perfect. It is very comfortable it doesn't feel oppressive and gives some control but not flattening out your curves. Legs were very comfortable and didn't roll or show a demarcation line.

I have worn these once, washed them ad instructed, and then they fell apart as I tried to put them on a second time! Very poor quality especially for the price.

Oh how I love these Spanx! They are my favorite for under dresses or pants. They go up to my bra-line, so there's no "line" that shows through your clothes, they smooth out the ripples along my midriff and thighs, but keep my behind accentuated so it doesn't look flat. Best of all, I don't feel like I'm being suffocated when I wear them like I do in other brands. I can sit, eat, walk around and dance without them riding up, sliding down or cutting into me. I also like that if they fall a little lower that the dress I'm wearing, I can pull up the legs by an inch or 2 so they don't show, and they still sit smoothly without wrinkling. For perspective on sizing, I'm 5'5", 130 lbs and typically wear a size 4. I bought a Medium and a Small with the intention of returning one, but I ended up keeping both. They both fit, but I found the Medium more comfortable for what I wanted at the time, but I feel like the small is a good backup and depending on what I'm wearing in the future, I may want a tighter fit.
