Brilliant uprated equipment
Replacing my BT equipment with TP-Link Omada enabled items to improve network. This AP can push out wireless speeds matching my BT Fibre 500 line and takes POE to reduce cables.Smart design and easy to install, quick setup with Omada and very stable for my wireless devices. The option to have multiple SSIDs is great, we've Home, Work and Guest networks. Also means we can broadcast amusing SSIDs.The range on this device is brilliant, can pick it up multiple houses away from my home.

Fantastic AP
After wasting time and money on second-hand access points via a popular auction website, thinking that I'd be saving money buying old and cheap, I decided the only way to get near to a consistent and guaranteed experience, would be to bite the bullet and actually buy a brand-new device. As money is tight to begin with, though, I still need to find the cheapest, yet appropriate option - and this is how I found myself in TP-Link's entry-level bracket. Reassuringly, the reviews for the EAP115 sounded positive, and it provides the POE functionality that I need in our home setup. I took the leap of faith. So glad I did; strong connection, and setup is so simple I had to double-check that I wasn't missing something. The web admin back-end is clear and simple yet functional (there's no need for any apps if you just want to manage it via a browser from a computer on your network), and I even found an option here to turn the LED off; very useful if positioned where it may otherwise cause visual interference.I'm so impressed with the EAP115 that I'll be buying another to replace our ailing (decrepit) Zyxel.

excellent product, very easy to set, up but instructions not very clear
I wanted to have a better wifi signal than that provided by my router, and this AC1750 AP does the trick. It also makes setting up a guest network trivially easy. The instructions are not that clear. For anyone who wants to configure one of these, including a guest network, this is a quick way to do it:1. connect the AC1750 to its PoE injector (comes in the box) and connect the injector to your LAN and to mains power.2. log in to your router and see which dhcp address it has assigned to the AC1750 (eg. 192.168.1.20, or whatever)3. access that address using your web browser4. log in as 'admin', password 'admin' and follow the basic steps in the initial wizard5. To set up the guest network select 'wireless' in the menu bar, and then either 2.4GHz or 5 Ghz. Click the little 'edit' button (has a pen symbol) at the right-hand side and change the security to WPA, flavour WPA-2, AES . You will see check boxes for guest network and for rate limiting. Check both boxes, and set sensible upload/download rate limits for the guests, and save. The rate limiting works well and devices on the guest network can only see the outside world, not the LAN. The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the first one I bought stopped working after 5 days. That one was sent back and now its replacement seems so far to be working perfectly.

We have 2 units in 6 bed home
Purchased one unit for my wife who works in opposite side of the house to use for video calls and watching Netflix movies. The unit is very reliable and I haven't had to reset ever, despite frequent power losses in our house. However, I would say operating range is limited to about 20m through cement and block walls. I installed another unit on the opposite end (next to the Virgin Media router). One benefit is that I can run both 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies together and some devices will connect to both simultaneously. I haven't seen any interference with other devices in the house. Also, if you put both on the same network name and password, moving across the house with a mobile phone should be seamless and without drop outs.Setting up was a bit of a pain. Recommend getting the Omada Controller account set up on your computer first (via wired connection) then hooking up the wifi units. Run the firmware upgrade on each one and they should behave after that. Mine have different operating versions as one is older. One model is mesh compatible whilst the other is not. The benefit of mesh is that they share the connection with each other and you don't need a wired connection for both. This wasn't possible with my pair so I purchased a long ethernet cable and ran it across the ceiling (loft).Operating speeds have been excellent but this is down to your devices too.

Seems to be NEW and improved! Excellent!!
Have been putting off this purchase for some time. Seems like my Asus N66 Wifi is dying, so decided to find a good AP and move to more centralised position in the house. My choice was between the Ubiquiy Unifi or the TPlink EAP245, both similar prices and both with same mimo chipset. So at this moment just running on a temporary SSID asking the family to switch between the Asus and EAP to see if we still get dropouts. So far so good, seems to connect really quickly and speedtest seem to indicate higher throughput than existing Asus 5Ghz link.Actually I'm really impressed that this seems like a newer variant. The case style is the rippled case and hidden rj45 sockets! In fact this 1750AC version has a POE adaptor with mounting plate and a second rj45 bridge port for daisy chaining or adding to an existing CAT6 cable run.The set-up was incredibly easy and defaults to 2 open SSID's and grabs an IP from existing DHCP server. So a quick login to the webserver and 2 minutes later you have your own SSID and WPA2 passwords set up.All in all I'm really happy with my choice and that TPlink have upgraded the older looking case. Much slimmer and all the features you need. What's not to like!!?? Thanks Amazon and TPlink .. :-)
