Great! As described!
They are great. Out of the package they bag an to expand immediately. I was a little worried that some were too smashed but they expanded perfectly. They are the full 2”s and they also stiffen up good. The first 3 pics are after 24hrs. The last 2 are are right after opening. My only issue was that they are extra black and the ridges are smaller than my other/older foam panels from the foam factory. The last pic shows the difference with other panels. They do exactly what they are supposed to which is absorb reflections and frequencies bouncing around the room.I would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Be a little patient sometimes when peeling off the back don't pull too hard don't pull too fast.
These turned out to be pretty cool . Easy to work with. When peeling the back the sticky part peels up with it sometimes. Not a big deal . Just like pushing your cuticle back. You peel the back a little bit the sticker might come up too when it does you just take your fingernail and push it back that's it. Once you push the back you can peel off the whole back of it and you're good to go. Most of the time you don't have to even deal with it because there's going to be one corner of the peel off that's a little bit longer so you can peel off the back super easy. I was putting them on the ceiling and it's a no-brainer. Start out square put the next piece up against the last piece nice and square and you're good next thing you know you've stuck 72 of them on your ceiling. And it really really works sound deadening material spot on.

They do their job
I bought 2 different brands of these, these are the best. There was 1 tile that was not like the rest. It's a different color and looks different. Additionally, they don't come with tape and they are hard to tape to a wall. I'm not sure what tape is recommended by I had to staple these to the wall.

Sound absorption at a good value!
First off these are not sound proof, nor should they be. They are for sound absorption and they work quite well! I had zero issues with them expanding. Simply cut the package, stack them, and give them a good 24-36 hours. 90% of them get their form back. The others just need a little pinching along the edges and they will be fine. I used double sided adhesive gel stickers..stuck to the wall and the panels without any issues and you can remove them without them stripping the paint.End result: a surprisingly deading of the room the cut the reflections down drastically. Strongly recommend and pretty good value for the cost. Look stylish and quite durable so far.

Fine, but buy more than you need
Ordered a 48 pack and glad I did because only 2/3 of the squares were regularly shaped. Roughly 1/3 were crushed and unusable, even after letting them sit to air out for several days. The ones that were as expected were good to use and look nice. Smell goes away pretty quickly, too.

Great product! No issues!
50 Pack Acoustic Foam Panels,2"X 12" X 12." I wanted to wait until I purchased my second set to do this review so that it would be honest and accurate. To be clear, these are not for sound proofing...they are for sound absorption just like a sponge absorbing water. They absorb room reflections but do not block sound. They're foam. One example is for vocals to keep the reverb in the room from coming into the mic. This will not keep noise like cars passing by, helicopters flying above, HVAC, or other noise from coming in hence, they will not block sound and soundproof your area. This is something that you as the consumer need to understand and accept BEFORE you purchase these panels. As sound absorption panels, they are good quality panels and work great! Also, to be clear, I am in no way telling, suggesting, or recommending anyone to NOT purchase these panels. They are good quality panels and I have had no issues with them!First thing to know that it clearly says that the adhesive tape does not come with the panels...you have to purchase your own. These are NOT self-adhesive!Second, when using the adhesive tape like 3m, you will need some additional adhesive like Gorilla Glue as foam doesn't always stick to the adhesive tape or the wall.Third, be patient! The best method is to let them set out for at least three days. The first two days is for the "smell" to air out while getting air in. The third day is an extra measure to examine them to see if any forming needs to be done.Pic 1: When then arrived and after I took the package out of the Amazon Box.Pic 2: When I took them out of the main wrapping. There are two vacuum sealed packs.Pic 3: When I took them out of the main wrapping. Since it's now unsealed, air started coming in and they already started expanding. Note: They expand quickly so prepare to get them out of the back quick!Pic 4: What they looked like 5 minutes later. Some expanded in full and some didn't and are deformed. There are two to each "stack".Pic 5: One of the "stacks" that was still somewhat compressed and deformed.Pic 6: After I pulled apart the stack that was still somewhat compressed. One panel.Pic 7. The other panel. Notice on both panel the triangles are deformed.Pic 8: Me beginning to pull the triangles gently.Pic 9: Me fully and gently pulling the triangles gently. As you can see, it's already getting it's form back. For the panels that are deformed, gently pulling the foam to get it to form helps get more air in and they will get their form quicker! This part takes patience! Those that said the panels would not take shape or stay deformed are not doing this to help shape the panels!Pic 10: All 50 Panels laid out and getting air All of this was done within one hour. They still need air out to completely form. Although the directions state 24 hours, it's better to wait 3 days. On my first set, I sprayed some Febreze to further take out the smell and will do the same to these. This does not take away their absorption properties.

Improve sounds & keep neighbors Happy
Needed these to contain sound within my music room. Don't want to disturb neighbor's. Mounted on thick cardboard at the corners to fit within the window openings. Works beautifully. Room is dead of echo & flat. Music sounds great. When I'm done listening, I move the panel off the window/open to let in fresh air. Super light,so no problem refitting into the window opening.

When they stick they really stick
These panels were used for 40% coverage pattern on the ceiling of the CoolToys podcasting studio. The room is noticeably tighter but, if you put the tile on in a bad spot, and remove it, be warned the sticky stuff is very sticky and paint and sheet rock might be coming with it.
