Catch Bull At Four

A great sounding album that has been reissued with care and attention. This album was largely unknown to me previously and as I have been collecting all the reissues so far I had to have this.I have been enjoying exploring this.

Originally released in September 1972. Remastered to excellent sound quality here! Fine tunes like ”Sitting” and ”Can’t Keep It In”. Ten tracks as the original album, no bonus tracks on this one. A good Cat Stevens album. Recommended!

Classic album

This is a cheap reproduction cased in a cardboard sleeve. Was meant to be a gift, I can't present this, what a joke.

I really like the cover and label reproduction BUT what have the mastering team done to the sound? You might be fooled into thinking it is good because you can hear the instrumentation clearly and the music is spread across the soundstage, and you can turn it up loud, BUT where are the dynamics?where has the life, the passion and power gone from the performance?? Maybe they should have referenced the Lee Hulko original cut. Not an audiophile remaster IMO. And as awful as the Free remasters several years ago.

Sometimes you get a remaster that doesn't sound much different than the original. That's not the case with this issue. The sound just hits you from the very first track. The instruments just pop, the sound is crisp and clean and in my view an essential purchase to replace my original copy. No bonus tracks are included but who needs them. If they weren't good enough for the original album leave well alone. An album that has longevity at 50 years and has been superbly remastered as it deserves. If you were sitting in the studio listening to this it could not sound better.

Lovely album, remastered and looks great in its cardboard replica sleeve. Brings back memories of happy times.

I grew up listening to Cat Steven. I absolutely Love all of his music!!!

Ist natürlich Geschmacksache, CAT kommt hier mit viel Leidenschaft rüber, alle Lieder sind ein Genuss. 180g Edition großartig.
