Not a necessary buy but worth it if you do.
Pros - sturdy/inexpensive/easy to clean/ - applies compound really evenly without much splatterCons - not a standard handle, doesn’t fit on normal poles threaded or quick lock types - didn’t hold as much compound as I thought it wouldOverall I love it. A lil mcguyver action to hook up to a pole and it was ready. Performed great. I laid a section and rolled a decorative roller through it just to test with this method and it worked well. I laid a section then quick 16 inch blade smoothed out and then decorative roller worked perfectly. Then used it to skim the entire ceiling and again it worked perfectly. I’d say buy it because even though other methods can achieve the same results, I feel this roller takes a lot less effort to achieve those same results and it is not very expensive

Works great
We just had a big renovation project and had to skim a lot of the walls where there was old Waynes coat that was removed but the glue remained. This roller made applying the mud so easy and with a 36 inch taper blade was the perfect 1-2 punch.

Sheds.
This sleeve sheds worse than a new paint sleeve. Seems the more you use it the more it leaves curly plastic hairs that interfere with the finished product. Must be a better one out there somewhere because I sure can’t lay a level 5 down with those in the finish.

Not as durable as hoped
First use, strands of black material from roller came off while applying compound to wall. Frustrating picking them out before and after skimming.
