No Spanish Rhapsody, but has everything else!!
I originally bought this after my Amazon search for Liszt’s Spanish Rhapsody suggested this book contained that wonderful piano duet. Unfortunately, I did not look closely at the contest list and it does not include Spanish Rhapsody. So, if you are looking for that, there indeed is a very high quality booklet on Amazon that is solely Spanish Rhapsody. This book basically has all the other major (and some less major) piano works by Liszt. I bought this for my daughter as finding sheet music with longer pieces is not easy and the ones sold at our local music store are too often printed on paper so thin that one can actually see the other side’s bars on the front side. This paper is high, high quality and there is no bleeding from one side to the other. This book also lays fairly flat which means you don’t need to fudge with it while playing..only need to turn the pages! :)I would recommend this to other students that want to learn a repertoire of Liszt pieces. It is a great collection at a great price!

Beautiful book
The print looks amazing, and the fingerings work really well. Good price too.

Do you have the skills to pay those bills
FRANZ LISZT where to begin and where to end. One thing is that a young Liszt saw Paganini in concert and dedicated his life to becoming as gifted in the piano as Paganini was on the violin. We all know Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2, but take a chance and dive into the world of the Rhapsodys and test you then fingers and see if your skills will linger.

Very good inexpensive complete edition of the Liszt Hungarian Rhapdsodies
Very good reprint of the authoritative Russian 1975 Russian edition in collaboration with the American Liszt Society. The new Dover sheet music binding permits the book to open relatively flat. One of the greatest technical challenges has been to get a book of sheet music to remain open.Recommended for all advanced pianists who play the rhapsodies, even if they're using other editions.

Who doesn't like Liszt?
Unless you have 12 fingers and a span of three octaves, stick with Hanon. Always wanted to play Rhapsody #2.

Page size was wrong and not standard for regular music ...
Page size was wrong and not standard for regular music score(too small)and I received 2 copies rather than one. Both issues were due due to my carelessness.

"Lay Flat Sewn Binding" is why you buy this
I have a Henle copy of most of my performance Library (unless it's Chopin, in that case it's always Paderewski) and already having Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody in my blue book library, I decided to find something different since Henles always had one fatal flaw. They always close during practice.AAARGGHHHHH!!!!The immense frustration you would have when you finally get into a piece and really feel yourself immersed only to have your book close on you. So obviously, I needed a better book as the binding for Henles were always stiff.I discovered the dover editions not too long ago and while they have their flaws as well, the "Lay Flat Sewn Binding" that are present with each book is ever so helpful.Never have to deal with closing books ever again!Although I highly suggest having Henle editions anyway due to its pristine printing and absence of typos and errors.Happy performing!

Who cares if it isn't the best edition, the music is good!
The Hungarian Rhapsody's must be the most technically varied collection of pieces. Some, (No3 for example) are very sight-readable and probably around grade 6/7. However, for the professionals, No2 is an age old challenge, which is deservedly famed, and is still considered one of the great technical challenges in the pianistic repertoire. Don't buy this expecting them to be easy by any means, but don't be under the illusion that they are all impossible!

Liszt's most famous pieces
This volume was purchased along with the Etudes vol 1 and 2. This collection is for the advanced pianist. Most famous is No.2 made famous to children by the "Tom and Jerry" cartoon. These pieces are available for "preview" on [...] or [...] - but I prefer a bound copy for my music library.
