The flux works fine but turns very dark when heated, meaning it makes SMD components hard to see on circuit boards making it more difficult in making sure the component is seated correctly.

The solder flux wets well and responds to temperature nicely. It works really well with my solder and allows good flowing. However, the solder flux burns easily and is extremely conductive. I am not a beginner to soldering however, the issues I faced with this flux and its conductivity left me confused until I tried without using this flux. I would advise anyone using this to make sure they clean their boards very thoroughly.

All good, might be better in some cases to use no-clean but this does a great job and can be cleaned up with a cold glass of IPA.. the IPA being sipped whilst you dab at it with a cotton bud.Took my soldering from meh to not baaaad… turns out flux makes it all flow!

I bought this after reading some other reviews that suggested this was great for electrical work. I've been away from hobby electronics for many years and i'm only just returning to it, so needed to stock up with some decent soldering accessories.Having read about rosin flux, I was expecting a vile, nasty product which creates a lot of fumes during use and stinks the house out. Really not the case with this product. Obviously you should never breathe solder/flux fumes anyway, but I really didn't notice any odours emanating from the flux, which makes it a pleasure to use. The consistency is as it should be, and I find it is easily applied to joints using small wooden coffee stirrers (they make great applicators!)Although i've only used it for soldering wire connections so far, my solder joints have been massively improved by this stuff. The solder flows easily and very quickly (I use 60/40 Tin/Lead solder) and leaves connections strong and shiny.I was a little surprised to find the tub only half full when opening it, but it is indeed 50g in weight. Not sure why they did this, but I guess there must be a reason why they didn't just fill the tub.That said, there is still plenty of product in the tub. For what i use it for, i'm not expecting to have to reorder any again any time soon.Highly recommended!

It made my life way easier and my soldering works are faster and better than ever. Can't live without it now.

Perhaps I use this not quite how the manufacturer intended. This acid-based flux is great for tinning new or retinning old soldering irons.

i had the iron to hot the flux made a lot of smoke dont breath it in like i did.? dont do you any good.
